The debayering setting in MLV App does not affect exported DNGs, none of the colour settings affect it either. All those settings affext processed video export only. DNG export is 'just' moving the raw data from the MLV container to DNG. (Well, with the exception of the "RAW Correction" tab, that fixes issues in the raw data and does applly to CinemaDNG export).
With this exporting setup you already introduce more noise during export. Its better to raise exposure in MLV and never get back to cDNG ProRes 4444 will do a better job. Also its more usable only with 14 bit. Lower bit depth = higher noise in shadows.
Nice workflow video. I've been trying something similar, as I've used adobe raw for a long time with photography. Export from mlvapp. Image sequence into after effects, adobe raw. Then export from AE as prores to Davinci. I was using noise reduction in Adobe raw but I'll try neat. And then finally chop it together in Davinci.
Very interesting. I wonder if a similar thing could be done in Lightroom to take advantage of the pretty spectaculat neural / AI denoise feature they added recently.. will defo have a play with that later and try to find out. Does Davinci Resolve let me import jpegs as video though I wonder…
There's already a crop recording build by Danne, which is what I've installed on my 5Diii www.magiclantern.fm/forum/index.php?topic=23041.0 It's really quite stable especially at 2.8k (2x crop) and 3k (1.8x crop).
Hi there! Thanks for you video. One thing wich I'm not concorde you: instead to shot at ISO 100 and bump up the exposure in Camera Raw (with lot of noise), try at ISO 800 and no bump up the exposure in post pocessing. Will see it , is better way. With my 5D III I have used even 1600 ISO with good result without use after anny noise reduction.
Iso 800 would have blown out the sky. Maybe ISO200 or ISO400 would be more appropriate. In this video, I was just trying to see how far I could push the image.

I love the image . And long live the magic lantern 5DIII

What card are you using to record raw?
Glad to hear that editing can be done in Adobe Premier pro! Just getting started and I have Adobe cloud subscription.
Get out while you can, trust me.

Could you please tell me what camera you used to film yourself in the video? (It looks great.)
Canon m6 mark ii with the technicolor cine style picture profile
Thanks!
How stable is this build? Also is there frame skipping issues?was this shot all manual focus!?
At 2.8 K, I can record continuously without any issues. All focusing is done manually. I have not experienced any frame skipping.
@@khanceptbelal awesome 12bit? Can it also record at 60fps in 10/12 bit no issues?
So, this means Crop Mood is coming to 5d3 right!?!
I will definitely throw some cash your way for that!

You're thinking of another person named Bilal.
Thank you
Good work
