*What did you think of this ending and Season 2 overall?*
Very good, however not excited to wait another 2 1/2 years for season 3
very mid almost disappointing. Barely any development on Levy, buildup was unnatural and anticlimactic. No way Cecil's team did not try to interfere when Angstrom was screwing with them until an hour or two later. Lots of weird cuts and pretty useless scenes. Basicially nothing happened with Nolan and Alan either. All felt like a a very weak cliffhanger rather than an actual finale. Sure would love to see what happens and all but this episode and a few others of season 2 really dropped my expectations with this show. Its almost as if the fandom just loves everything released despite the quality of the story....

Can you blame him? He just fought across the multi-verse, killed a guy, had a mental breakdown and ended his first relationship, he’s not emotionally ready to open up to Eve and probably won’t be for a while.

Honestly, I think the show’s handled Mark’s relationships with Amber and Eve better than the comics. Looking forward to how season 3 grows their romance.

That's exactly why atom eve en mark are perfect for each other. He does not need to worry about eve's safety because she can take care of herself.
The real reason he didn’t tell her is because he is hurting beyond belief and he can’t thrust himself into admitting feelings for Eve just yet
He’s also processing whether he actually loves eve or is just doing it out of guilt, cause her adult self told him. It’s why u see him attempt to go back to Amber but stop, cause he’s not sure who he rlly loves.
But after this scene it’s pretty obvious mark makes his decision on who the one is.

Actually it’s the opposite. Mark is going through a lot right now he can’t deal with there quite yet. If anything that’s why they are perfect for each other Eve can her hurt but she can take care of herself

Man Eve has had it bad for Mark she began having a thing for him after Rex cheats on her then she feels closer after hus fight with Omni man and then her older self confesses and now Mark starts to get feeling for someone whos in the same job as he is and she seems like she noticed he has a thing for her now but is willing to wait longer
She had a thing for Mark before Rex cheated on her, you'll see
she pretty much did from the start. when she talked about love to amber in the soup kitchen scene she was talking about mark, not rex. you could tell from all her looks around mark that she has it bad for him but backed out once he got with amber
Mark didn't just start to get feelings for Eve he clearly was into her before seeing that she was with Rex 🤔.

An absolutely beautiful scene and the perfect way to end the season. So much emotion and feeling put into the dialogue, you can tell just how head over heels in love Eve is with Mark.
What makes her goated as fuck is that she doesn’t push the relationship at all, not since the first time she saw Mark and Amber together. She was upset that he was with her but always respected their relationship and didn’t get jealous over it. Eve will literally always be there for Mark, girlfriend or not. Once Mark has gotten time to heal from everything, they’ll end up together.
It was a very bittersweet ending to season 2 and I still feel for Mark yet I feel for Eve as she's got true feelings for Mark he's one lucky guy

I think what Mark had rattling his brain if what future Eve told him, but also, she is currently the best friend he had right now. And as he is dealing with the Vilyrumite threat, what happened withAngstrom, his decisions about his future and his break up with Amber *which more or less just happened like a few hours ago), he cannot risk telling Eve anything that would risk the friendship he needs more than anything right now.

I feel like "you don't deserve this" is something that Mark really needed to hear.
He went through a lot in just a few episodes. He’s too confused to talk about it.
-Mark is not rushing into starting a relationship with Eve and not telling her what he knows from her alternate future counterpart.
-Eve understands Mark is not in the best mental state to talk too much about his trauma and simply being the shoulder Mark needs.
These are just stepping stones to their blossoming romance and testaments to how healthy their relationship is and will be even in the future.
Many people wonder when Mark and Eve will get together in the animated series. So, I will break it down for everybody (some of the mentioned events have already unfolded in season 2, albeit in slightly different ways):
-Between issues 33 and 34, Angstrom Levy sent Mark through multiple dimensions before the Viltrumite hybrid killed the deformed scientist, who was shown to have survived. Afterward, alternate future counterparts of the guardians of the globe helped Mark return to his reality of origin. However, before departing through the portal, alternate Eve revealed her feelings for Mark and greatly regretted not doing so when her original Mark died 15 years ago. Alternate Eve then encourages Mark to tell his original Eve how he feels about her to give the red-haired heroine closure.
-Between issues 39 and 40, Mark and Eve kissed for the first time. On the same day afterward, Mark broke up with Amber in issue 41 after he, Eve, and the guardians of the globe stopped a sequid incursion. Mark had gone to visit Amber, but she was consorting with a guy named Gary, supplemented by Amberʼs hurt feelings over Mark not having enough time for her due to his superhero duties.
-Issue 43 is when Eve learned of Amber and Mark’s breakup from Rex.
-Issue 44 is where Eve tells Mark how she feels about him, and Mark explains he learned of her feelings from the alternate future version of Eve he previously met. After the explanation, Eve wondered if Mark started falling for her out of pity, and he tried to specify that his feelings were genuine, but an ambivalent Eve departed without a word.
-Issue 50 is when Mark and Eve became an official couple.
-Issue 53 is when Eve and Mark went on their first date.
-In Issue 54, Eve and Mark’s date in Paris was temporarily interrupted by the time-traveling fight master and drop-kick who needed Mark’s help to defeat the evil version of Immortal. After resolving the issue, Mark was returned to the exact moment he time-jumped, allowing him to resume his big date with Eve, and the couple admitted their love for each other.
-Issue 55 is when Mark and Eve had coitus for the first time.
The creator of the Invincible series, Robert Kirkman, originally wanted the show to have 14 seasons but redacted his statement to 6-7 seasons. And thanks to some leaked images, it is definite that Mark and Eve will become a couple in season 3.
The finale felt more like a set up episode for a true finale 😐 rough way to end the season, Especially when we know it's gona be at least a year till the next one..

@@namishjain9238 thing is that they’ll get canceled regardless of what side they choose, so it’s better to avoid it altogether. The first kid could be Marky. This way, we avoid the Anissa grape scene and have Marky. I also want them not to adapt the 5 year time skip

Honestly I wouldn't mind having Atom Eve as a friend. Been through some tough and almost PTSD enducing things recently and would just love to have that friend I can go to and hang out with, but not one of my male friends who might get tired of hearing me talk.
Thing is he still suffers for amber so he just needs time to go through it.

Thank you. I don’t think people realize that by saying that mark was going to confess his love in this scene, literally not a day after breaking up with Amber (who initiated it anyways) that doesn’t reflect highly on Mark.
The implication of him going immediately to Eve to confess his love would be that he has had feelings for her for a decent amount of time… feelings he would’ve developed while seeing someone else. Does that mean he was with Amber just because he couldn’t have Eve? Does that mean had Amber not initiated their breakup he would’ve continued to harbor a crush on Eve while with someone else? And if he harbors a crush on Eve while with someone else why are we meant to root for a relationship mark didn’t apparently want to pull the trigger on before being dumped? And how are we supposed to see him as a good person if the implication is he only stayed with Amber out of familiarity or fear of Eve not reciprocating? Do people really want Mark to be viewed as someone who just used amber because he could’ve have who he actually wanted?
People want the ship so bad they kinda ignore how they want it to happen. Let mark fall in love with Eve over the next season instead of pulling a “it was you all along” which sullies Mark’s character and pisses all over his relationship with Amber.

@@wingandwang5634 I know Mark will definitely develop them for her in the future because it’s comic canon and the show is pretty faithful so far but yeah… I think people get swept up in their desire to ship Mark/Eve (and dislike Amber) they don’t care if optically or narratively the things they want to happen have very negative implications so I hope next season the writers take the time to give Mark and Amber new ground to remain friends and allow Mark and Eve the room to fall in love when Mark has had some time and space to move on properly.

Mark has shed more tears for killing a bad guy than Duplicate's supposed death. What he needs to do is train and get stronger, faster, tougher. Not "controlling himself". Cecil gets rid of people all the time and he sleeps like a baby at night raking in a good paycheck knowing its for the good of the country. Mark is really annoying, weak, and pathetic.

you don't know what it's like to be born from a race of warlike bloody violent warriors from an advanced savaged planet that their main goal is to conquer planets, plus Mark is still young, so of course he is going to be depressed in many ways, not everyone takes the pleasure of killing people, Nolan even regrets killing people back in Chicago and also almost killing his son, you think it was easy for him as it was for Mark? Mark is still a cub in viltrumite terms compared to a fully matured Viltrumite who have thousand years of experience through violence and combat, Ever since Omni-Man showed his true colors, Mark's world has been turned upside down. At the end of the day Mark is still human, and him showing emotions and trying to cope about the traumatic effects surrounding him shows there is still some humanity in him left.
