Hey, french Union member since years here, we've been protesting for months against the latest reforms of the racist banker who calls himself our president.
Just letting you know the south of the country blasts this song in protests, among other ones, thank you guys ;)

Indeed! More relevant than ever!
Just remember it’s class warfare they fear, they have spent 11 years dividing us legally since the Smith Mundt Modernization Act was passed. Please look into that act, what it made legal, and then reflect on how our nation went from electing a black dude to all of a sudden everyone is all racist? Good luck to us all and God Bless.
Everyone keeps this in the playlist in case of revolution.

Look up the Doctor Who episode on Mount Versuvius.

It may as well be the word of GOD.

How has this musical GENIUS been so underrated?!!! He's one of the greats, just slept on!
You misspelled genius.
He's an amazing artist who can make solid points but then it's turns to rubbish with commie bullshit.

Unfortunately they were around in an age of gangsta rap and not many were interested in their political views at the time. If they’d been around a little earlier they would probably have been massive. At the end of the day whatever you think about their political views no one can deny The Coup sounded amazing and we’re seriously underrated.

where punk meets hip hop so succinctly
@@oku12 It certainly was punk for quite a while and it has punk roots and some of that is still very much alive. It also got co-opted in the mainstream by corporate interest and dumbed down, controlled, and distorted, in the interests of harming the communities it was meant to empower.

Favorite memory of this song: we attended a protest to fight a rich white landlord trying to evict hella people living in his apartments in poorer neighborhoods of Oakland during the pandemic. We blasted this song max volume on repeat from the car along with hella other people doing the same, blocked off the streets surrounding his rich neighborhood in Piedmont (rich hills of Oakland), and danced around chanting and just wilding out while people being affected gave speeches over a megaphone.

Hurricane Spencer yet you’re safe at home, never daring to rebel because you might get arrested. Nice! Your grandkids will be proud.
Hurricane Spencer funny, your rant makes you sound the opposite of fulfilled. Breathe and calm down. Ok- No one will suggest that you rebel against oppression if it gets you that worked up. And yeah- most of the people who have been rebelling against all this the last few months have a job and raise kids- like I do. BECAUSE we have kids, we know we have to fight for their future. People like you will just accept it all and smile, apparently.
Hurricane Spencer again, you don’t sound fulfilled. You love the boot on your neck. You bow down and kiss whoever’s ass they tell you too. And if you do that- what kind of example are you setting for your kids. Your motto is to shut up and let them exploit you. Hopefully, your kids won’t fall for it.
@Hurricane Spencer Being a cop isn't even in the Top 10 of most dangerous jobs in this country. And half the deaths they DO have are from fucking traffic accidents, yet people like you acts like they're headed to D-Day, every day.
The revolution will be televised and sanitized for your protection, but it's already got some great music.
Give me a break. There won't be a revolution.
+BillyBong420 Don't listen to Grayne. He's the kind of person who could probably care less about these things. There will be a revolution. It may not be today, it may not be tomorrow. It may be bloody, or it may be a political revolution, but one way or another, the people will one day stand up and seize the government, that is meant to work for only the very rich and make it work for the common people. History proves this; the Bolshevik Revolution, the French Revolution, the political revolutions of many European countries right now. I just hope it is of a political and peaceful revolution. Bloodshed would be devastating, even if it's the assholes who'd be losing it.
+Second Lieutenant Donovan All of human history is the history of revolution. Lies are mortal, the truth is forever. :) We will overcome
