Software matters a lot, but the thing that makes any editing software good is plugins. There's a reason why every Disney film requires new plugin and why Maya is by many people still considered best even if blender is more capable.
@@DeTNTonator you know right plugins are just extensions created by users like ourselves. If a user base is big many people will start automatically creating plug-ins. Blender is free and has more users as well as many developers creating plug-ins to sell. So blender is better than maya when it comes to plug-ins. How is Max not procedural ? You can start from a box, make that box unrecognizable, even create multiple versions of it - all connected to the first box. You can go back to the initial box and change parameters along the entire chain.
