    I have 3 of the 1946 Australian pennies. One is circulated and has a small amount of verdigris. The second has been attacked by someone who used an angle grinder on it and chopped a small piece off it and the 3rd was turned into a desk clock face and silver plated by that coin watch company.

    I also have 9 1933/32 overdate pennies and a 1925 penny that I'd picked up from a job lot of pennies that I'd got at an auction in Brisbane.

    I have this old Australia 1951,1949,1955,1940 Penny and half penny coins all with the kangaroos on the reverse side of the coin but don't know how much it is worth? Can you please tell me how much is this worth? Thank you very much. By the way l am from Malaysia.

      KS Ng, there is no specific price or value for any coin. The value of any coin depends on the condition (grade) and the mintage otherwise it is worth the face value (1 penny). To grade a coin costs more than $50; just for one penny. If the grade is below 67+ it is worth nothing. It means you lost your money. It is a very risky business. It is not easy for an old coin to get a grade of 67+, 68, 69 and 70. Are your coins for sale? Do you have other coins (foreign coins)? Let me know because I might buy some of your coins.

      @@ksng60 Great! If you have old coins from Hong Kong, China, Philippines, USA and so on, we can talk. You can send me pictures of your coins. Do you have Philippines pesos? Any USA coins: Penny, Nickel, Dime, quarter, half-dollar and dollar coins. Some Australian half-pennies are fine too. I know Hong Kong and China have dragon coins and more. Just show me pictures and we can talk. Thanks.

    Could you help me value my coins? Or point me to a trusted way? I have pennys and half pennys and 3 pence.. lots of different ones as well. Florin and what not

    • @yemengoto4905
      @yemengoto4905 3 года назад

      EDGEDAZZA, There is no fixed price or fixed value for any coin. The value of any coin depends on the condition (grade) and the mintage otherwise it is worth the face value. Any price is an estimation including the price at auction houses which depends on the wealthy buyers who bid for the coin. It is not a realistic price. Are your Australian coins for sale? We can talk.

    Is there a particular 1930's penny that is worth more as my brother has about 3 of them

    • @PJsCoinCapers
      @PJsCoinCapers  5 лет назад +1

      Just the 1930 penny is the valuable one. Very low mintage coin

    • @katiefoster2317
      @katiefoster2317 3 года назад

      Please make sure he has them valued properly and even insured if they are real.
      There weren’t many and people would often alter other dates to try pass them of as the 1930 to make big money.
      If your brother has 1930 and sure there is a chance of course they could be worth a lot depending on grade, he really needs to be able to provide valuation of each coin if he chooses to sell but I do suggest he has them valued and perhaps consider insuring to prevent risk of loss.
      Also there are ways to loan for a fee to certain places such as museums as well he could look into if he wishes to offer the community the opportunity to appreciate such coins 😊

    Goodday mate, its 2020hrs here. Lotta copper in that penny, the debate continues as to get rid of the penny because it costs 2.8 cents to make one. Our rarest penny is a 1909 S VDB, back in 1965 when I was 10yo I got one in change from buying a Pepsi at the corner store. I eventually had it graded at MS64 and is worth a "pretty penny" these days.

      Lindor Pay, there is no specific price or value for any coin. Everything depends on the condition (grade) and the mintage otherwise it is worth its face value ( 1 penny). Nobody wants to grade their coins because it costs a lot of money and you might find out that your coins are worth nothing. It is a very risky business unless you have some money to throw away.
