Pruning the trees this time of year is actually perfect. They’re dormant. Great solution to get more light.
And we’ve noticed the difference in the room when the sun’s out!!
The semi-gold, in the middle, is the one my eyes keep going back to. It ties the lower sections of the panels and vertical stripes together so very nicely!

Plants: If you have an upright plant, airy like an orchid not a pine tree. A droopy plant could mask the corbel or remove the need for a corbel.
I would like to see the big mirror hanging horizontally. It disturbs me to see it on the wallpaper. The trim will not look right either. But, I certainly am no decorator. I have loved everything you both have done so I am sure it will look great.

I agree. The mirror looks like it has slipped down when it is vertical. It's a long wall so needs to go horizontally.
I'd prefere the mirror the other way off the wallpaper
Yes, I think if you want a vertical mirror this one is too big or keep this mirror and hang it horizontal. I prefer the green trim as it ties in with the colour below and allows the mirrors to take centre stage. As well, possible the other may cut the room in 1/2. Love watching you & seeing how you are making this place your own! You are very gracious to ask our opinions. 😊
What about the corbel base being wider to match the shelf but hang it above the rail?
I ❤ the dining room. The colors are fab. I say the gold trim #1, it goes with the mirror and all the other accessories!! But the trim is always easily changed. 😂

I like it. Green is my favorite color. Yes, smaller rail, first choice is semi gold, but that's more work. Total gold also looks great.

The darker gold imitates the gold in the mirrors, particularly the darker gold in the mirror panels. It unifies the look and glams the wonderful lincrusta

I know I sound like a broken record but mirror needs to go horizontal and it doesn't need the other 2 mirrors. The green stip looks best, the golds clash with the mirror. The 2 small mirrors are quite busy and create a lot of extra detail which the room doesn't need. You did ask for opinions so I hope you don't see this as being critical. The paper is most unusual, haven't seen anything like this in australia, and can't wait to see it all finished x

Agree that the mirror should hang horizontally. It plays with the eye in this position. My vote for the trim is the second, more muted gold.

Semi gold trim. hanging down plant so it does not obscure the mirrors no more green to have contrast.
You could do. 3rd example of two tone of green and gold. Green on top with gold to the wallpaper. Also love the two oblong mirrors but not the heavy piece didn’t catch its name but the little gold bling underneath the mirrors yes. Definitely. 🤷♀️😉❤️

A thin trim with gold accent and no side panel mirrors. Hanging the large mirror horizontally instead of vertically could enhance the space. However, this is just my opinion. Ultimately, it’s your house, and you should make decisions that make you happy :)

Mirror is not right ... needs to be much heavier and horizontal ... side light mirrors are plain wrong ...
The lincruster needs to receed, no.2 seems on camera to help that
I think I like the semi gold trim & definitely the smaller trim...it was a hard choice between full on gold & semi but I think semi would let the mirror take center stage...

Smaller trim Demi gold Not too keen on the plant holders/ support on the wall . Maybe one horizontal mirror.!!! Your home your compromise of choice, obviously the wallpaper will be there for sometime if there’s a change of heart for the rest you’ll be free to do so.🥰
either gold trim for DR is better.You plan to put small shelf uner your 2 mirrors. Make sure to put something that won't break if gets knocked off which am sure will happen sometime.
Deff the thinner trim and in green - deff mirror horizontal and maybe a dresser or long table underneath it with two small lamps or large candles - not a fan of the lyncrusta being two tone think it would look better being all one colour - not a fan of the two etched mirrors sometimes less is more - not being critical just opinions - love the wall colour - love the candle wall scones - love the curtains it will all come together and look delightful im sure

Absolutely the first 1! 👌😍 It really compliments the gold accents on the mirror. If not, then 2, but not the green, as way too much green. 🤔
You're right, the little molding looks best. Not the green for the trim. I like the gold on the left better as it's closer to the colour of the mirror frame, but it's a little bright.
Definitely the small trim for the dado. I’m still not keen on the mirror hanging vertically on that wall. You could always hang it horizontally above your sideboard where it could be a bit higher up. I prefer 3 then 2 then 1 but you’ve probably picked the other way around. 😂I was waiting on that plant pot cracking the mirror! 😮 The trim on the Lincrusta looks great in the lighter colour it gives a more cohesive look to it.

I still think a second mirror the same size needs to go on to make the room look bigger than it is. The smaller ones look like the ones you see in a pub not really a dining room sorry. Or two circular mirrors with frames. I would have done a gold rail myself but I mentioned that before. Too cold for gardening ;) Maybe some creme sheers so if you want light but privacy is an issue might be something. If you put the plant or candle holders anywhere it should be the wall opposite the windows so they will get light.

I like the thinner trim. The green paint on the trim would blend in too much. I love your Norfolk Island Pines, one of my favorite plants in the USA. I think they might get too big to be on the shelves. Mine got to be about 4 feet tall.

I like the gold and the semi-gold. I don’t mind the size of that corbel, but I think the plant needs to be smaller, or more delicate. Have you thought of putting a relief above the window between the two draperies, possibly adding gold touches?
Love the family dynamic as always. NOMB but throwing it out there: horizontal large mirror, no side mirrors, simple corbels supporting the plants are enough. Of course I don’t have a successful channel with following so my thought are worth everything you paid for them😜. Feel better Carole

I would go with the thinner rail, it does suit the wallpaper better.and I think the green rail.
The pure gold (#1) gives a bit of bling but all the gold in the room is muted so #2 fits better.

I absolutely agree that the mirror should be hung horizontally. Looks very peculiar hanging over the wainscoting and will look even more so with the trim on
Hello folks, try the smaller molding with Gold over the Green. But not full on gold.
As an addition You could do some white or cream lace curtains in the center for the Summer.
Definitely think you need your green curtain valance. If IKEA does not sell a matching valance. Then you will have to get another side panel and chop it up and sew to make a valance.

I like the green, but I know she’s gonna go with the Gold, which is fine in the end. It always turns out beautiful. But I really wish that mirror would go on the wall horizontally.
Build a frame mould that will match the existing surrounding moulding in which you can slide those beautiful mirrors into to save it from chipping. They are gorgeous! BTW, I love the gold moulding.

I love the mirrors, Adrian your corbels are really nice, but in my humble opinion, I don't know if something large should cover the mirror. Well done guys. Love from N.Y.

The dado rail would look great in the gold to the right of the mirror. But in saying that which gold matches better to the mirror and the curtain rail?
Either way it has to be some shade of gold.

That thinnest trim seems to work better as it is less obtrusive..
Green is already predominant, so gold or semi-gold. But then again, the mirror frame is "gold" so that seems to not work as well..??
So, hmm I dunno. OK, I'm just an outside observer, delighted by the craftsmanship and hard work.

I’m @ 4:20 - will keep watching - but IMO - although you might not enjoy me saying this - people can’t quite relax 😎 & enjoy dinner conversation while looking at themselves in a mirror… 😢 so … IMHO… you might consider letting go COMPLETELY of that mirror for THIS room.
Truthfully… To me, It somehow screams ”I am a CHATEAU mirror… YES 😂 I KNOW that I’m WAY to big for this wall” 😅
So… this mirror would be much, MUCH more to advantage in Carols glamorous new & completely 100% over the top dressing room! There, it would fit right in & SCREAM of luxury!!!

That’s my 2 cents. I picture something VERY over the top for such a room. Here - in the dining room - if you want mirrors - my advice would be to go small & be unintrusive about mirrors.
