Bergerac was not what I expected but always awesome to see these ancient towns, I have read about Coco so that was fun to actually interesting to be in her home. Loved the red lipstick Sarah! Mirror looks great!
Steve the mirror looks a lot better on the wall over the fireplace, Thanks for letting us go along on your trip the landscape looks amazing and thank you for the knowledge of Coco Chanel take care and see you both next time 💕🌼🤗
You guys are extremely blessed to be close to so many beautiful places filled with history, thank you for taking us with you, maybe sometime you can ask a realtor to take you into a house like the lopsided one so that we can kind of get a glimpse of some of the cool, neat whimsical places. I know I would enjoy that. Sending love from Indiana, USA.❤
One of my MOST favorite of your videos ever! What a dessert: education, eye candy, and places to research from your visitations. An inspiration on many levels. If you offered a 'writing' retreat with places like this, as you both the tour guides, sign me up! Merci.
We do offer a writing residency in November but also anytime you want to come and write at the chateau you’re welcome. We would be happy to show you around.
Thank you for sharing your road trips, not only are they both beautiful and interesting places, they are not too far for me to travel to from my house in Treignac (a beautiful little town, also well worth a visit). You have inspired me to take some time out to explore these lovely places when I am next there. Love the vignette, the balance is just perfect :) xx
Always fun to get things up on the wall! Love the balance, and how it reflects the window light. ♥️ What a couple pretty towns. Thanks so much for the tour and history.
Hi Sara and Steve, the mirror and the mantal look perfect. I loved this video, a road trip with beautiful architecture and fascinating history. Thank you for bringing us along. Love from N.Y.
I may not cut a stylish figure, but I hold my soul erect. I wear my deeds as ribbons, my wit is sharper then the finest mustache, and when I walk among men I make truths ring like spurs. BRING ME GIANTS! Cyrano de Bergerac !
Love it when you go sightseeing. Any brocantes around? Spring is around the corner, any gardens open to the public? How is your garden doing? Any snowbells yet? Thanks for including us in your journey.
The Sunday brocantes are always running but we haven’t been in a while. Hopefully soon though. The weather is improving and should be seeing the daffodils soon. We’re looking forward to the temperatures going up.
Mirror and mantel look wonderful. I guess the Victorians introduce the concept of a picture rail either high up on the wall or just down from the corner. Do you see any in the places you visit?
Being bought up with nuns also influenced her fashion with the black & white look. There are a lot of symbols in her life that have meaning in her work. She was a woman ahead of her times.
Both Aubazine and Bergerac were not only interesting but beautiful, each in their own way. Thank you for sharing.
😍 Thank you Sara & Stephen………a brilliant mix of sightseeing, history & château decorating!! 💖💖

That was a lovely but short day trip. The church and monastery were interesting. The mirror vignette looks lovely. Good pairing.❤

Thank you. It’s one of the reasons we chose nouvelle aquitaine region of France. There is so much history, culture and diversity in the area.
Warmest wishes from Sherry and Ed in Nebraska.
Very nice post, interesting history! Love the little Trillium flower painting on the mantle…🥰
Love the history behind your trip to these beautiful towns. Thanks for taking us along 😍😘

That’s wonderful and inspiring. I need to find out more about him and his history.
Loved the outing today, thank you. The music was perfectly robust for the structure. Interesting canal and catch basin. Vignette looks well curated👏🏻
Very interesting when you pointed out about the stain glass pattern and the Chanel logo!
Thx Steve and Sara for the tour and history on Coco C. ❤
How cosy it becomes with the paintings on
What a lovely blue sky! Interesting Vlog. Well done the mirror hanging, so precise. Evelyn ❤ x

We do see it and have used a few in the chateau as well. It’s a good system especially if you are changing the artwork often.

👍👋❤️
Is Coco Channel not also connected with Dans chateau that he is restoring. Ask Stephanie she might know.
I believe Dan's chateau used to belong to Coco's Butler.
I was just about to ask that too - I thought he said she lived there at one time?? There was some kind of association with his Chateau during WW11??
You should tell Dan Preston Stephanie's friend. He bought Coco Chanelle's Chateau.
