I´m building a white setup for my son and have been looking for a white CPU-cooler with RGB. The NZXT T120 will do just fine! Thanks for the video Rob!
I mean NZXT has always had superior aesthetics but now there performance is on par as well. My last two builds have glass side panels so I'd say aesthetics are important but it's 1. Quality 2. Performance 3. Value 4. Aesthetics and 5. Brand rep.
Given that Asrock builds their motherboards, which company is making this cooler for them, ya think? MSI maybe? idk I ask bc i'm letting NZXT do me a custom build and this was the only air cooler choice i seem to have. Would the T20 be enough cooling for the Ryzen 7800X3D i'm getting? Be sure to get the two fan version? Thank you!
Wow I'm surprised about the quality of content. I was just looking for a review of T120 and your video was the only one that popped up. Half way through I went to subscribe because it was a great review and I was shocked to see the sub count. I thought for sure you'd easily be a 500k plus channel. This is a crime, I'm here to see you grow!
I bought this cooler, threw away the nzxt fan and bought 2 arctic bionix 120mm fans for it and my 13600k idles at 32C and never goes above 52C when gaming.
Great video. I remember seeing your video about air cooling a i9 12900k with a Noctua NH-U12A. Now that the 13th Gen are here, can you air cool a i9 13900k with a Noctua NH-U12A.???? I would love to know if that is possible.
I think it should have come with 2 fan for 49.99$ being able to beat the Ak620 at this price would have been something huge but you need to pay an extra for that 2 fan so is it still worth it ? I don’t know
you can use a cheap fan on the back like for me I'm replacing my rear case fan and both of the cooler fans with cooler master fans in a set of 3 so its cheap and my aesthetics look tidy
Unfortunately, aesthetics have more value than they should to me. I'm gonna be building a PC later this month and I'm pretty much sold on the white version since I'm doing a white build, it just looks awesome. And it's half the price of the NH-U12s Chromax.Black with white cover I had in my Amazon cart, which doesn't hurt. It also seems to cool decently well, and I could always add a 2nd fan if I absolutely needed to. And it might run even hotter than the temps in the video in the 4000x RGB I have. Which has terrible thermal performance as noted by Steve from Gamers Nexus. Another aesthetics point, I'm pondering the RGB version which runs a decent bit hotter, and will be putting it on an already hot hot 13600k.
If you still need a cooler, the deepcool AK500 is pretty nice in white and has much better cooling potential for the exact same price. Tossing between the two myself lol
I would like to know the total power draw during the test or did you take out the power limit ? 13600k have huge power draw so idk how it can beat ak620 which is considered best air cooler for the price. Love the content. Thanks
You do know that it would be completely independent of power draw right? This was at 100% fan speed on each of these coolers meaning they were cooling at max levels and the delta would exist regardless of the heat generated. Doing at this level just ensures we don’t max out the cooling capacity of these coolers (meaning they hit thermal throttling). Also, people can make better products than another company? So another two fan cooler, new to the market, can beat another cooler. The data doesn’t lie my friend 😀
@@robeytech did you also have noise measurements? Hard to believe that the Nzxt cooler could beat the ak620 at the same fan speed. Or maybe you could do noise normalized testing, for example using both coolers and having the noise output of both only being 40 db or something
@@juslmunch this cooler is better than my old noctua nhd14 from 2014. This is one of the very few coolers that has heatpipes that make full contact through the entire CPU frame length of the intel 13th gen CPUs, most other coolers heatpipes just cover 85-90% of the 13th gen CPU. On my 13600k i get 31-32C idle temp, 37-38 while working and never above 51-52 while gaming.
id like to see this cooling playing in it own price pool.. the non RGB is £49.99 in the UK and an extra fan is £14.99... so £64.98. you matched it agents £20 coolers in it none out of the box set up... Bruhhhhh, Im in the same boat. It’s 1:30am and I can’t stop researching more Info. Can’t find anything. Let me know if you end up buying it or if you find something 😂
The Deepcool Ak500 is the better buy now. The AK400 was just slightly worse than the T120, but the 500 will blow it out of the water for the exact same price.
nzxt pricing is weird in my country, usually American products cost a lot more but in this case the T120 RGB cost only $49 in my country. So I bought it today and gonna pair it with ryzen 5600,hopefully all goes well
Dont really care if there are better coolers than the nzxt t120. I bought the t120 because space in my Corsair Carbide 400Q is pretty limited and this cooler is perfect for small space and still has 2 fans like my Alpenföhn Cooler
Price is a bit too high. The AK400 and Peerless Assassin are cheaper, and better. The Scythe Fuma 2 is more expensive, but better and quieter. A T120 $40 RGB version would be a great deal.
I was on the fence for NZXT and decided not to go for them after their so called "sassy" twitter episode. I am at a point where I will pay more for same perf from another brand or settle with less performance from the competitors unless they have something only they can make and market.

From certain points of view, the fans can either suck or blow depending on their configuration, and that's a good thing (and we're here for it)!
