can a built sbc with soild roller camshaft last on the street as a driver???

we are in the process of turning our 1971 el camino ss in a cruising street car, we are not racing it anymore and are taking all the race parts off to make a cruiser , we put the street tires on with brand new cooper cobra tires, took the race shifter out and put in the original horse shoe shifter in, dialed the carb in to cruise mode, we are going to be doing the interior and also changing the rear gear to make it more efficient for driving long distances, time to put it back to original and enjoy cruising it around, thanks everyone for your support we really appreciate everyone, our email is [e-mail]

I do love the welds. But I was surprised how good it looks with some street rims and tires! I’ve always liked both. I guess we have the same taste! Still so glad you didn’t waffle that thing! You would have gone into a depression my friend. Keep up the good content. I’m in Clarkston.

The Elco looks great with the new wheels/tires. Agree with the idea of giving it some love and getting it back to a daily driver. It sounds really nice. Are you gonna go back to a flat hood or stock cowl induction hood? Look forward to more. Be safe and stay well.

hey brian we are goin to focus on the interior and rear gears first, then move onto the engine and possibly change hood back to the factory cowl induction setup , but it's definitely going to be more fun to be able to put some miles on it 👍💪
