Yea it was, it was my cousins first game ever. He really needed that game to take his mind of his dad passing a month earlier. RIP Bobby G we miss you!
i feel like our recievers are excellent on their feet, and finally they were sure handed giving ponder a great game. rodney reminds me of greg carr, except the fact that rodney can move. the feeling got from the roughing the snapper penalty until i left the stadium was the greatest feeling, knowing exactly how it was going to end til the celebrations were over was EPIC
I have been to the last three UF/FSU games and have sat there and watched time expire down to 00:00. I have never left a FSU game early. Always stuck behind this team, for those like me... we deserved this game. I am proud to be a nole!
jokerhaha83 dude im a huge Florida fan. I knew we had no chance. We had Jordan reed playing qb (he’s a tight end😂😂) and had beat y’all like 6 straight times. Hell would freeze over before Florida won this game 😂
Awesome post! Tell that dude sour grapes and to cry us a river. If this year is a glimpse of what is yet to come, oh my goodness... I can't wait to see how much better we do in coming years while we take all the recruits from the southeast part of the US and especially from the state of Florida!
congragulations on finally beating us after 7 years of Gator domination. it took our worst season in a long time to do it, but at least it's actually a rivalry again.
2011 has definitely been a rebuilding year for Florida State. We are playing a lot of freshman who are outplaying the upperclassmen. Just wait until the young ones mature.
@jshaffer21 I wish fans from both sides were more like that. Seriously, it's just a game. I'm a FSU fan and glad we won the last 2 games, but when you stop to think about it, there's a LOT more out there to worry about than football, so it's good to put it in perspective.
He was FSU's best returner look at his stats, he led the nation in yards per punt return in 09'. Either way, it was still a significant loss for FSU. He was one of FSU's best corners just take a look at the hits he has made in his past games......and returns, he was a hell of a player for FSU. A lot of FSU fans are just mad his dumbass got kicked off the team, so they bash him down to make it seem like he wasn't a huge impact at FSU when indeed he was.
This was a wonderful game to attend. Loved watching the gates head for the exits at the end of the 3rd quarter. Get used to it gates.. You had your fun.. It's our turn.
@blackjack779 yeah black was the safety i was talking about, FSU has been ranked the #1 D line and a top ten LB group. your O line is the most important group of a team and i think they will be over whelmed. not to mention we have the best RB group in the nation.
@jcmojo91 fair enough. kinda asimilar situation for me. been raised a Gator (both parents, and several other family members went there) but both my sisters are applying to fsu among other schools because of their majors :/. anyways, i respect fsu as a program, im not afraid to admit when they are better, when we have struggles, etc. fsu was definately the best team in Florida this year. i admire you not being some cocky fsu fan and actually respecting the rivalry and thr\e fact that both
@jetsfool921 I was feeling the same way until recently...I hope we get our act together for the rest of this year and have some momentum going into 2010.
@FSUscar it will depend on how quickly our team adapts to the new offense under Muschamp. if we struggle like this year, i do agree we will have a difficult time, even at home
@bamaisnumberone it's roughing the long snapper, you cant engage the long snapper while his head is down (probably the first time i have ever heard it called)
@gatornation321 BTW. Bobby Bowden didn't quit, FSU basically said you can stay on with very little say about what's going on with the football program or retire. Bobby was a great coach, but on my Degree it says nothing about Bobby Bowden and everything about Florida State University. He was big, but not bigger than the school. It was time for a change and it was the worst thing that coulda happend for Miami and UF, as FSU is no longer on "auto-pilot" and are now an actual threat in Florida.
@blackjack779 Mike Harris is also a guy that can be counted on to make a play or three this season I would think. Along with Lamarcus Joyner now at Saftey and Nick Waisome will probably see time strictly in the Nickle, as he is nowhere ready from a physical standpoint, to take on the position at Boundry Corner.
Reading the comments I think we need to be fair to both teams. What UF was experiencing last year is what FSU experienced the past 5 years: great talent and no direction. UF will always be competitive and FSU should be as well. I think FSU will have the edge simply because they are 1 more year into the program than UF. It won't be a rout like this one, but still gonna pull for my 'Noles.
This game made me smile! Noles won, multiple turnovers, the gayters looked like a joke & Ponder had an AMAZING game! 31-7! Ponder is a Viking, while Teblow is a Bronco...haha
I just said he was a great returner. One of FSU's best corners, yes. but he's not as good as Xavier Rhodes. Big hits are great, but he was a very undisciplined tackler, he got beat in coverage more than we'd like because his height, and again, undisciplined play. Not gonna argue with his return ability though, he was an all-time great there. So far though his replacement @ CB has done very well, and his replacement @ PR already has two TD returns.
@gatornation321 No program in college football NEEDS players, but in the same token, no program wants to lose arguably the best player on their entire team either, regardless if it's injury or stupidity that takes him out. Jenkins was a great player and defintely added a boost to a young UF Secondary. UF has alot of "talented" players, but just like FSU, most are young underclassmen and unproven at this point.
@blackjack779 Agree, he couldn't take the heat. We finished him in Doak. You won't see another 6 game streak like Florida had again. Bobby needed to go but since he made our program and was the best Coach ever it was hard for us to realize his time had past. The lost decade is over though and won't happen again.
31-7 21-7 37-7 24-19 27-2 ------------------- 140-42 in our last 5 wins. The only reason the Gators won in 2012 was because EJ's mom had cancer. He wasn't all there mentally that day
@gatornation321 Ima look at Brantley and EJs stats, compare them, and might make a video showing those stats to shut these Criminole fans up...1 lil win in 7 years and they act like they won the title game...which btw UF has 3 rings and FSU has 2
Xavier Rhodes is by far the better CB. Just ask anyone who knows about football. He was a great punt returner. Great vocal leader. Solid corner. He would've been the 3rd best DB on our team this year AT BEST. He wan't even a top 5 defender for us last year.
@WestheLegend 13 Rashad Gholston WR 5-10 162 FR MIAMI, FL he plays for fsu, demps is bigger than him. So do you suggest recruiting players that look like 7th graders?
@ITzWINT3R Ya know, I've checked the roster, and just about everyone on this team that CRUSHED Florida is coming back next year... including ALL the players that scored points in that game. Now that FSU has their coaching problems worked out, and now has both an offense and a defense, I'm expecting another thrashing of the Gaytors for at least 2 more years to come. I'm not the least bit worried. Oh, and may I remind you, FSU has the number 1 recruiting class in the country. Oh and also, 31-7!
@GatorsFan24 I don't know about everyone else but I am not expecting domination in the series. However I do think UF stands NO chance next year, the fact that we return EVREY starter but one on D and three on offense will make it that much harder with E.J. and the option game we will imply next season.
One of my Gator friends here in Jacksonville actually had the audacity to tell me that this game meant nothing to the Gators or their fans. Really? 100 recruits on the field and state bragging rights and this game means nothing? Wow! Anyway, Go Noles & let get a streak of our own started!
@blackjack779 UF is rebuilding in 2011 it would seem, ya? Will all the players Urban recruited for the spread on Offense work for a Pro Form ran by Weis? Will Weis be able to even run a competent offense? Will Brantely perform with all the expectations? Will Weis give the keys to Driskel (True Freshman). Does Muschamp run the defense or trust one of his assistant coaches to do that? How does a young secondary perform without Janoris? UF has ?'s in every facet of their game do they not?
@noleEagle92 And just to let you know, yall may have the #1 recruiting class THIS year, but LAST YEAR, UF had the #1 recruiting class..like Cody Riggs, Sharif Floyd, etc. They are now Soph and will have starting positions this year. As for the Criminoles, I highly doubt that most of the recruits will get any playing time this year. Oh and we got Driskell(#1 QB)
"FSU is 1-6 in the past 7 years to UF." That's true. It's also true that in the 7 year span before that FSU was 5-2. FSU 14-12 against UF in the past 25 years. Under Bobby Bowden FSU is 18-17-1. UF does lead 33-20-2 all-time, due to an impressive 9 win streak in the late 60's to mid 70's. 1958-1976 is really where UF padded their lead. But UF also had a football program long before FSU and occasionally they would still get beat by a nobody FSU team that had very little funding or fan base.
@GatorBaitIn08 The balance of power has shifted towards FSU again, so be ready for a few more losses. And if you're gonna go by those standards, UF hasn't played a good FSU team since 2002. Yes, we've had that many coaching problems, but it looks like we finally got rid of all our problems. FSU still isn't a great team, but they're getting better. I expect to have only one loss this year.... and it WON'T be to the Gaytors. (Oh, and before I forget, 31-7).
@friendlymojito haha hardly plausible. but if it does happen, you all can feel free to say whatever you want. it makes it more exciting when it's competitive, anyway, especially since it's one of the top rivalries in the country
Me and my broseph are FSU fans and got tickets last minute right in the middle of the UF section. The turd fans were actually pretty cool, especially this 80 year old guy who said he's been coming to the uf/fsu game for 30 years. After the game he shook my hand and my bros hand and welcomed us to come to Gainesville for last years game. There was only 1 drunk idiot, but he wasn't belligerent, just sloppy. It let me know that there actually are some respectable UF fans.
@jcmojo91 our defense was still good, and that helped keep it from games being worse. and our lack of offense was exposed against a rejuvinated fsu team on their home field. ive never tried to take away from the win, but i find it ridiculous how so many fsu fans think that now they are going to dominate the rivalry. it was an impressive win, but dont get unrealistic. first of all, it's going back to The Swamp next year. also, addazio is out, and a lot of our new players will have a year under
@ITzWINT3R FSU has been rebuilding for the past few years (I know, it shouldn't take this long, but for some odd reason, it has). Remember when FSU always finished in the top 5? Always had a shot at the national title? Always had 10 win seasons? Always won bowl games? THAT is what we were used to.... until Jeff Bowden screwed that up. Now that we're finally past that crap, the future looks bright for FSU. I don't see how a fan of UF can be this optimistic though. Care to elaborate?
I agree w/ @RockSmithStudio....I'm from Jacksonville and it is all a bunch of Gator fans...however I will take a side in saying that UF is the bigger rival since Miami "fans" don't seem to make it that far north in the state.
Not only that but UF fans you just witnessed who the better coach is! And if you go to recruiting sights around the nation, there is NO doubt who the better recruiter is! Get use to getting your asses kicked the next few years.
I hope you gator fans know this is only the beginning Im not talking shit thats not in my nature but I hope you undertand the the FLORIDA STATE SEMINOLES are back and in full effect!!! Gators or anybody on the scheldule for next year prepare to recieve an L just saying my noles are back and jimbo is the best thing that could ever happen to us Im so proud of him and his ability to build a great team and motivate these players to play their ultimate best in every major game! We ARE BACK!!! NOLES!!
@beefjerky7897 This may be a good time to point out that almost all of the FSU team from this year that crushed Florida is coming back next year.... including all the players that scored touchdowns. We'll be without Ponder, a lineman, and I think only 2 starters on defense.... but almost the entire team is coming back. Next year, look for FSU to give UF yet another beating like this one.
The last 4-6 years of Bobby Bowden's tenure were filled with terrible coaching (the defense didn't even have a playbook) and bad preparation. It truly was the "lost decade". Now to be fair UF was REALLY good during those years so I won't say it would have been totally different. However what your seeing now is what good coaching can accomplish with a top tier recruiting class. FSU is no fluke.
@MrGatorHater9 Best RB group in the nation? We have all our guys back from last year that collectively rushed for 1,862 yards (averaging 6.1 yards/carry) with the number 1 RB class coming in. Check out rivals position rankings.....not to mention arguably one of the top classes. Plus 18 returning starters. FSU is just getting warmed up. The couple of position rankings from the preseason magazines that I've seen, FSU was top 10......didn't see UF anywhere.
@spinserve1 I tried too but one of the games (either Maryland or Clemson) a sack got added/subtracted and so I didnt want to put the wrong # on the video
@ITzWINT3R We bring it up for one reason: It's the most recent game played. As in, lately, FSU owns the rivalry because we won the last game. Ponder may be gone but guess what.... the whole rest of our offense returns... including every player that scored points against Florida. I'll be expecting an ass kicking..... but it will be FSU delivering it again this year just like we did last year. Our coaching problems are over. FSU has an offense AND a defense now. Get used to losing to us again.
I don't care who's fans hate us. That's normal for any team you play to say you're overrated. Show me where the sports writers and analysts say we are overrated......you can't.
@gatornation321 And FSU fans think EJ is gonna be an "elite" QB cuz hes a top recruit and won two bowl games..while Brantley was playing in his handicapped offense(Spred Offense) and finish 8-5. Im cant wait to see what he does in pro style offense.
@GatorBaitIn08 Oh, and I forgot to mention again, FSU 31, UF 7. Stop living in the past. BTW, it took FSU only 47 years since their football program started to win a national title. It took UF twice as long. Oh, and they STILL do not have an undefeated season, or a wire to wire #1 season. They never had a coach with a record for most wins ever (I know that record was broken by Paterno but Bowden had it once). UF still has catching up to do as well. Oh, and before I forget again.... FSU 31, UF7!
@parquar Do YOU realize that although UF is having a bad year, they lost to an FSU team that outplayed them on both sides of the ball. Terrible play calling doesn't cause FSU defenders to force fumbles and make interceptions. Saying that FSU won because UF is bad, is like saying that the ONLY reason UF won the last 6 is because FSU was bad (which they were, but it was also because UF was a better team). Give credit where credit is due, FSU wanted it more, executed better, and soundly beat UF.
Yea it was, it was my cousins first game ever. He really needed that game to take his mind of his dad passing a month earlier. RIP Bobby G we miss you!
I could probably watch this all day. I never get tired of watching this.
From a Tennessee fan to FSU.... THANK YOU!
I enjoyed watching the game
I was at this game and the atmosphere and felling after the first win over if in 6 years was absolutely incredible
Great game. Great coaching by the new staff. FSU dominated all aspects of the game.
I could watch this all day. Such a satisfying win.
i feel like our recievers are excellent on their feet, and finally they were sure handed giving ponder a great game. rodney reminds me of greg carr, except the fact that rodney can move. the feeling got from the roughing the snapper penalty until i left the stadium was the greatest feeling, knowing exactly how it was going to end til the celebrations were over was EPIC

still getting chills, any highlights i see, best moment ive been at doak for
I was at this game; it was a great evening to be a seminole fan!
Last game as an undergrad at Doak --> Greatest game of my life.
This game put gator fans on notice that we were back
jokerhaha83 dude im a huge Florida fan.
At 1:34, Greg Reid actually kicked the ball out of his hand with his foot.
LIKE A BOSS.
congragulations on finally beating us after 7 years of Gator domination. it took our worst season in a long time to do it, but at least it's actually a rivalry again.
From a Tiger, good win guys. Nice to see yall beat Florida. I only hope Clemson can go back to its winning ways against USuC.
4:57 Love it CP7, thank's for the wonderful memories - both good and bad!!
Go Noles!!
These are both of my college football teams and that is straight facts 💯
2011 has definitely been a rebuilding year for Florida State. We are playing a lot of freshman who are outplaying the upperclassmen. Just wait until the young ones mature.
Man how times have changed in Tallahassee. It just doesn’t have the same feel on Gameday anymore.
"Christian Ponder with the little Gator chomp as he heads back to the locker room" ... love it. Go Noles!
4:56 Ponder getting at the Gator fan in the student section!!! HAHA!!!
@jshaffer21
I wish fans from both sides were more like that. Seriously, it's just a game. I'm a FSU fan and glad we won the last 2 games, but when you stop to think about it, there's a LOT more out there to worry about than football, so it's good to put it in perspective.

@blackjack779
yeah black was the safety i was talking about, FSU has been ranked the #1 D line and a top ten LB group. your O line is the most important group of a team and i think they will be over whelmed. not to mention we have the best RB group in the nation.

The best part is..... ALL of the players who scored points on UF this year are coming back. I'm going to enjoy the highlights from 2011 I'm sure.

How do you get these vids? I can't find them anywhere on the web?
Scooter.i love your work. Next do what Denver Bronco fan say
I enjoy how Ponder done the gayter chomp right before half lolol... priceless
projected top 10 in the nation next year LFG!
@blackjack779 I would also be surprised to not hear Matt Elam's name in that secondary a few times.
@RockSmithStudio depends on the person, me personally UF bc I'm around their fans more and that game is the last game of the season
@unholyd completely agree. Ponder is one of best to ever suite up in garnet and gold.
This game made me smile! Noles won, multiple turnovers, the gayters looked like a joke & Ponder had an AMAZING game! 31-7! Ponder is a Viking, while Teblow is a Bronco...haha
@JayLangly Truth....preach it brotha.
Ponder was the most complete QB coming own this season reminds us of Aaron Rogers. Congrats purple people.
I just said he was a great returner. One of FSU's best corners, yes. but he's not as good as Xavier Rhodes. Big hits are great, but he was a very undisciplined tackler, he got beat in coverage more than we'd like because his height, and again, undisciplined play. 8:02 should have been scoop n score but we got screwed. Was reviewed and overturned but becasue they blew it dead we got ball at recovery point.
Not only that but UF fans you just witnessed who the better coach is! And if you go to recruiting sights around the nation, there is NO doubt who the better recruiter is! Get use to getting your asses kicked the next few years.
@swatford98 I dont know how Ej manuel's arm is though, I have yet to see him throw a long ball, other than that he just look a little above average.
NOLES!!
Better arm, better runner....all around better QB.
@beefjerky7897
This may be a good time to point out that almost all of the FSU team from this year that crushed Florida is coming back next year.... including all the players that scored touchdowns.
@MrGatorHater9
Best RB group in the nation?
@ITzWINT3R
We bring it up for one reason: It's the most recent game played. Get used to losing to us again.
this game pissed meh off how could finally lose to the noles
6 years of frustration is over!!..go noles!!!
I don't care who's fans hate us. That's normal for any team you play to say you're overrated. Show me where the sports writers and analysts say we are overrated......you can't.
@jcmojo91 Florida had 1 bad year..they were just rebuilding and Brantley wasnt used to the spread offense
@Jaycethecoolguy thats right go noles man keep strong dude well get a championship soon
@gnrtallica99 Correction, UM has cost FSU a SHOT at more national titles.
@WestheLegend No it was the 4th quarter..they just stopped playing
@gatornation321 And FSU fans think EJ is gonna be an "elite" QB cuz hes a top recruit and won two bowl games..while Brantley was playing in his handicapped offense(Spred Offense) and finish 8-5. Im cant wait to see what he does in pro style offense.
I just love this. Finally. Old school ass whipping.
@RockSmithStudio Gotta be UF, especially as of late because they have been the team to beat.
@gatornation321 You mean OUR. You didn't go to UF did you?
AMAZING HIGHLIGHTS AND AMAZING GAME buttttt best part of the video is THE GATOR CHOMP DONE BY PONDER LOL
EJ Manuel= Our future!!!
@GatorBaitIn08
Oh, and I forgot to mention again, FSU 31, UF 7.
FSU 53 years = 2 nations championships UF 100 years = 2 national championships
@parquar Do YOU realize that although UF is having a bad year, they lost to an FSU team that outplayed them on both sides of the ball. Terrible play calling doesn't cause FSU defenders to force fumbles and make interceptions. Saying that FSU won because UF is bad, is like saying that the ONLY reason UF won the last 6 is because FSU was bad (which they were, but it was also because UF was a better team). Give credit where credit is due, FSU wanted it more, executed better, and soundly beat UF.
