This was the best performance of the so called "Blues Brothers Band" I ever witnessed. Donald "Duck" Dunn, Matt "Guitar" Murphy, Steve "The Colonel" Cropper, Tom "Bones" Malone, Alan "Mr. Fabulous" Rubin and Lou "Blue Lou" Marini. Those who fit in are also great.

@@asdfzxcv3617 Paul was the musical director of Saturday Night Live when Ackroyd and Belushi first did the Blues Brothers performances and put together the line-up. He wasn't available for the movie.

+Ann Marie DeQuarto Larry Thurston is a great singer - was with Matt Guitar Murphy and co-fronted here with Eddie Floyd. Saw them four times in the early nineties in London & once in Chicago. Glenn Palmer their manager invited me as a guest at Hammersmith & I went onstage for Everybody - the band was immense live, hugely powerful and incredible at their craft...

I'm just glad they didn't have John Goodman singing lead like they did in the movie sequel.
Unsure Ann... I believe he's a minister in St Louis, Missouri but he has a serious voice. Gold.
One hell of the Best band of the soul/blues on with many of the greats from Duck Dunn to his side kick and best friend Steve Cropper and the magic vocals of Eddie Floyd what a combo of super horns backing I have loved the Blues Brothers like no others exception of the Legendary Otis again to find Duck Dunn and Steve Cropper backing him in almost all of his Hits too !!!!
+Michael PEARCE .....Steve Cropper was Donald "Duck" Dunn's sidekick? Perhaps the other way round!

@@nikshmenga As half of Booker T & the MGs you might say Cropper & Dunn were Bookers sidemen, tho that would not be very accurate either. In any case two of the most successful session musicians of the 20th Century.
where they are today?! so great music, so great Band... and what we got Today?! Bits and Bytes makes the Today "music"... Donald is the Reason Why i choose to play the Bassguitar...

I saw them in Gothenburg, Sweden the same year. Or maybe a year before or after. The two black lead singers were really great, just like the rest of the band. One of the best concerts I've attended :-)

Kidding - this is very good stuff
Steve Cropper noted that Belushi and Aykroyd were incredible mimics and why they could handle the vocals - notwithstanding Aykroyd's competence as a serious harp player. Most folk think they were jacking but the voices and footwork were slick...
