The 2024 New Zealand National Service at Chunuk Bair, Gallipoli, Türkiye.
The NZDF Contingent delivered a memorable Anzac Day commemoration to honour those who fought 109 years ago.
A special thanks to our Australian Defence Force colleagues for helping ensure the Service could be delivered smoothly.
We will remember them.

Moving ceremony well done everyone involved. A fitting service to remember the fallen at Gallipoli. Also remember those fallen on other battlefields particularly the Western Front. R.I.P. 😔

My Great Grandmas brother died there during the Auckland Infantry attack towards the summit on the 7th August. His name is on the memorial to the missing E.S. Hill. Their brother was shot in the jaw at Chunuk Bair on the 10th. He lived, but their cousin, A.B. Verner of the Auckland Mounted Rifles is buried at Ari Burnu cemetery. A turkish shell went through him
