for real? that can't be it, my house has 6 rooms and 3 bathrooms, my aunt's house has +10 rooms and +4 bathrooms, but we're certainly not rich, just an old latino family with a lot of kids.

The layout makes perfect sense if you consider that they build with the no mistakes challenge. Same goes for the roof actually. Maybe that's the real secret. They aren't allowed to move or change anything once its been placed and then they get so demoralised they give up finishing the rest. There is no item pack limit, they just rage quit.
I know this is 3 years old, but I had a similar thought. I keep thinking that they're building under some ridiculous time constraint. Cue the forgotten toilets, stairs to nowhere, and the roof piece Kayla commented on. That roof piece makes more sense if they maybe roofed it, then changed the walls around under it, then realized that there was no more time. Or they rage quit. That works too.

As an Ex-Disney employee, I can assure you that Kayla is 100% right when she says "Oh I'm on vacation I can do whatever I want."
We once had a man jump off the Pirates of the Caribbean Boat to take a closer photo of one of the robot pirates, cause the whole ride to evacuate and then he actually dared to threaten to sue us because his shoes got wet whilst being evacuated.
This is the type of person who will not wear a mask, get others sick and complain that there's no ventilator for him when he does get sick.

Yeah I HATE wearing masks, it fogs up my glasses (I know you can use something to stop that I forgot what it was, but I am about to move and we have VERY little money so I can’t afford to do that each day) and I can’t breathe well with them. But when I go out somewhere, I will wear a mask if I think it’s best (crowded or was crowded) or if it’s required

Strangerville is actually one of my favourite packs, obviously it's EA so how good can it be, but I like how there's a whole storyline and the out in the middle of nowhere plus military vibe. Evokes area 51 and stranger things
It’s one of my favorites as well! Playing the storyline gets a bit repetitive, but so does playing any sims game.
The build/buy is some of my favorites and I really love the world.
3:20 to be fair, that bedroom IS extremely unsettling in a way I can't quite pinpoint. So, perhaps a _little_ strange.

What if you did a “What room is what challenge?” You would build a house but before you furnish it you spun a wheel to decide what room it would be. So let’s say you get ready to furnish the living room, but when you spin the wheel it says it has to be a kid room instead. Lol idk😂 I think it would make a very funny looking house.

Yes, that gets me every time. I once deleted a staircase because I tried to change some wallpaper. The houses that come with the game? Frickin' masterpieces by comparison. At this point I'm not about how houses look. I'm about whether someone can get through the doors I put down.

When I first glanced at the original build (from the front) I thought it was fine enough. Sure there are maybe a few too many windows-- but aside from that it's alright.
Then I got to see the side/back + interior.
Right? I was like, what are you talking about? It's not that bad... Then she turned it to the side...
I was similar, she kept talking about the horrible builds in strangerville (I don't have the pack, so I wasn't familiar withethem) and when I saw them I thought she was complaining about the Victorian style houses ( I love that style, so I was actually excited to see them.) But yeah, further into the video, I realized what she meant.

As a high school teacher, I've seen countless kids go through wisdom teeth removal. They are usually back in class before the week is over. You're going to be fine! Stock up on cold, soft foods like yogurt and apple sauce. Frozen veggie bags like peas and corn make great ice packs that will shape to your face. You'll be better than before in less time than you'd expect. ❤
I agree. I ate soups, mashed potatoes, Mac and cheese, pasta... I had all four surgically removed and I was out under. By day 4 you'll be a lot better.

I actually personally love Stangerville just because with the build and buy stuff in the pack you're able to make some dilapidated and ramshackle builds. My best friend make a Strangerville cheap and haunted Motel which I just love so much. Also I enjoy the desert backdrop

Girl I feel you. My boyfriend of two years is currently deployed in Japan. He has been there for a year and I can't see him because of COVID. If things don't get better its going to be another year before I get to see him again, MAYBE. So please stay home if you can, the pandemic is not over. People are losing there lives to this disease. Things are a lot worse than missing your trip to Disney World.
My boyfriend's in Hungary and I was supposed to be there for the month of May. We've got a year and 9 months in between seeing each other so oh boy do I feel ya girlie. Wish people would listen
My boyfriend also lives in England and I had to cancel a trip to see him (our 4th anniversary) and now we don’t know when we’ll see each other again :-(
My fiance is English and is currently stuck in England. I'm a New Zealander, so our borders have been closed since March. He was supposed to be here in June for our wedding, but that's been postponed till December MAYBE. NZ us COVID free, but we're playing the waiting game now with the rest of the world. :-(

I like.. the rodent cages you can get, though that's the only feature I thoroughly enjoy about it, I think. Perfect for those homes where you don't exactly have the space or time to care for a full fledged pet, but your sim lives by themselves and can use something low maintenance besides a garden plant to keep them company.
Though, with the Country Living (or whatever the hell it's called) pack that's just recently came out, this role could easily be filled by a single chicken, though maintaining a chicken and it's coop is a tad bit more work than maintaining a rodent and it's cage.
As a nurse i love this! Finally someone talking openly about this! Covid are just as dangerous now as it has been, probably more. I got covid in april and im still having a hard time breathing because of it.
I got COVID once too. Both vaccines, It was still horrible. I had no complications nor conditions, but it was still horrible. I hope you get better

The personal cook thing can actually be very different culturally too! I've lived most my life in the US, but for a while I lived in Dubai, and I want to clarify that me and my family are far from rich. However, there its more culturally normal to have someone working in the house then to not have someone, regardless of your own money. I think part of this is because in Dubai everything is very job / business focused in a way, so instead of seeing it as "oh I'm telling this person to clean my house" its more like "oh, im letting them with this job they want to do" basically. It felt very weird at first, but at least for us we became more like family members living together! Her name is Donna (I hope I spelled it right, I never really saw her name written :( ) and she felt much more like an aunt or a family friend or an older sister then someone that we just hired to do things for, and it was similar for most my friends that had people cleaning their house / cooking for them. I miss her a lot, since we've moved back to the US now, but I hope she's doing well :)

I agree, she inspired me to pick up my 20 years of Sim knowledge and start streaming and making RUclips videos about my design thinking. The Sims inspired me to go into real estate graphic design too so its neat with a lot of effort and luck, she proves we can get noticed and build a fan base.
Strangerville is one of my favorite packs in the game, I wish it was a little bigger and the story didn't interrupt normal activities when living in the lot.
I got into that habit of looking at houses around my section of the state on zillow back around Thanksgiving. One thing I always try to do is look at listings that have the 3D room layout because those are always fun to explore. The only downside (and funny side sometimes) is that is seems like if you do the 3D mapping of your house, you almost HAVE to use this special equipment and software that Zillow will provide or else it doesn't look good. Like, I remember just browsing and finding this one house where almost every single room had a weird perspective or the seem of the image didn't line up right so an object or section of the room just looked off.
Also, I have a weird obsession of looking at expensive homes on Zillow too. Not because I think I'll ever live in a super fancy ass home (tbh, I doubt I'll ever make enough to actually justify owning a super expensive house), but because those types of homes tend to have very interesting architecture or will have rooms furnished in creative ways. Idk, expensive homes are just fun to look at, ok.

Anyone else confused? I get the pathing aspects, but all the homes in this areas are just Victorian styled and quite realistic for how they were built (not interiorly), I love them🥺🥺
I am that person that when Kayla said “no one can go anywhere” first thing I thought was “except Disneyland”.
I won't share my experience with getting my wisdom teeth removed because I don't want to worry anyone that's going to have it done soon, but DO NOT drink out of a straw for two weeks after your surgery, don't smoke or vape for at least one week after your surgery (but absolutely wait two weeks if you can manage), buy nicotine patches/gum or sleep through it (the pain meds they give you might help distract from your cravings anyways), anything that requires a sucking motion from your mouth really should be avoided for two weeks after your surgery. Do not eat for an hour or so after surgery (when you can remove the gauze), and when you do make sure it's soft foods like soup or mashed potatoes (as long as they're not hot!), maybe some ice cream if you're not sensitive. Don't drink carbonated, caffeinated, hot, or alcoholic liquids for the first 24-48 hours either. If you don't wait to do those things, because I sure didn't wait, you can dislodge the blood clot that's essential for healing and you can get dry socket. You really, really, REALLY don't want dry socket. It sucks. Just wait as long as you can to drink from straws, smoke, or anything of the sort. I promise, going through withdrawals for a week or two, not having soda/caffeine/alcohol/hot drinks for a day or two, and not using straws for two weeks is so worth not having dry socket. If you just listen to what your doctor/surgeon tells you, because I'm not a medical expert so take all of this advice with a grain of salt or as more of a general guideline, you'll be fine. Plus, you'll have pain meds to help you through it, and they make you kinda hazy.
I was perfectly fine on the meds, no reaction at all. I managed to eat some chicken nuggets the night I got my wisdom teeth out. Had some iced tea as well

A non-horror story for Kayla: when I got my wisdom teeth removed, I looked like a cute little canary with chubby cheeks, my two big cousins stayed with me and we made a sleepover that was basically them jus bringing me water ice cream all day while we watched movies because it hurt to move.
When I got my wisdom teeth removed, they cut my gums open, took out the teeth, stitched me up, game me 800mg ibuprofen and I went to school for the rest of the day.

I know this is 2 years too late for Kayak, but I just wanted to say for anyone out there getting their wisdom teeth removed, mine went perfectly fine with no complications. I've heard people who do it with local anesthetics instead of being completely knocked out who said it went fine for them too. The "worst" part for me was I sent some very loopy post-op mouth pics to my bf-at-the-time (I think I couldn't figure out how to do a video) and sent him some interesting texts which he found absolutely hilarious, while the anesthesia was wearing off. I was given a stronger than typical use prescription of pain killer, and was actually able to get it in a liquid version since I suck at swallowing. Recovery went perfectly fine, I didn't need the entire bottle of pain killer. They err on the side of caution for how much they give you, apparently, because I didn't even use half of it. And that was getting ALL of my wisdom teeth removed AT ONCE! You'll do just fine, I'm sure of it.

I’m a nurse on a day surgery ward and we have a ton of patients having teeth out sometimes a total clearance and they are discharged home the same day with no problems, it’s very very rare to get complications, like I said I see hundreds and they are completely fine and talking fine the same day, so give don’t even worry about it 🙂🙂
nurses don't do wisdom teeth and stuff- dentists do
just treamz what? Lol. Plenty of people go to a hospital setting and have surgery done on their teeth. You can’t be put under anesthesia in a regular dentist office. Some are sent by their dentist to a oral surgeon and some people don’t have a dentist because of insurance reasons and have no choice but to go to the hospital for dental work. Also emergencies when a dental office isn’t open at night time or weekends. Nurses are there and present to assist the surgeon.

E E if the patient has to go under general anaesthetic, here in the uk anyways, it has to be done at a hospital so they will come in for day surgery.

Honestly, Strangerville is probably my favorite pack. The houses and furniture are terrible and I don't really like living in the neighborhood, but I like the story. I think it's really unique for Sims DLC.

I genuinely believe that ea is lying about the whole "we can only have x amount of items in a house :)" because it makes no sense at all and I'm pretty sure it's just because they can't be bothered to fully decorate a house because they know simmers will just redecorate for them

It makes sense kinda because some computers can handle heavy furnishing but that doesn’t give them an excuse to be bad
honestly, if their computer is that bad that they can't handle moderate furnishing, i'd expect them to be using the legacy version or something
@@applejackmccrack5383 exactly, if your computer can't handle decently decorated houses/community lots, then maybe sims 4 isn't for your computer. If you have the legacy version I think you should save up for a nicer computer 🤷 I feel like the mass majority shouldn't suffer because a few computers suck. And that's IF ea is telling the truth. I still think they're being lazy and know they can get away with it if they pretend poorly decorated houses is to benefit the players
Personally I don't care if its due to laziness or whatever on EA's part, it provides its players with something to do if they aren't all that into the gameplay. And I mean it definitely provides simmers content for their channel so I ain't one to complain xD
I LOVE the world that came with Strangerville. It's absolutely beautiful! BUT, I hate having to play through the mystery for every new save. I really wish they'd update it to have an on and off switch like Eco Lifestyle.

Quinten Belfor what are you evening talking about. Quarantine is done so people don’t have contact with each other, in order to isolate the virus so it doesn’t find new people to infect. It works, if done properly, and the USA is not doing it properly for example, they were too individualist and cared only about themselves and not an about the community. And mask work too, if everybody is using them, because if your are sick you can’t infected other people IF you have a mask on. So actually this things WORD but the people just don’t care and are too selfish.

Your Victorian builds with the Strangerville pack are so good. I have such a hard time making all the mismatched windows in the pack work cohesively.
YES to the floor plans in house listings! We're looking for a house, but want the master bedroom (or a room that can be converted), a full bath, and the laundry on the main floor, and it's hard w/o a floor plan.

A lot of the expansion packs and game packs have good concepts but just lose that part whenever the worlds, animation, or gameplay is just weird

Strangerville, and the side mission with the lab, are literally the most exciting things in TS4 IMO. Reminds me of TS3 World Adventures and the Egypt tomb missions/exploration.
I feel the same way about houses in real life. I live in a 2 bedroom, 1 bath house with at least 7 people living here too. Just the idea of having more bathrooms than bedrooms kind of freak me out more than anything.
I’m from New York State and I remember when Florida said “Anyone from New York has to quarantine for 2 weeks” and now New York is like uno reverse because Florida is so bad right now and btw good luck and stay safe and at home.

I don't know where lilsimsie got the music that she plays at the end of the videos. But it's perfect. I know that it is a type of jazz. She does such a great job with these builds. She does have a lot more energy in her personality than I'm used to. LOL. But she's great.

Yesterday these people from next door through a whole birthday party with like 50 people! My baby cousin who is only 3 MONTHS OLD couldn't sleep that night! luckily the landlord called the cops and hes planning on kicking them out when the pandemic calms down.

I would like to mention that the large empty rooms with a diagonal bed is kind of a staple in southern furnishing? I stayed in one when I went to visit an old family member in a southern state. His house was built in the 1800s and is now a historic landmark. There was a queen bed on a diagonal and a little high off the ground, and then a full bed up against the wall that was a little lower to the ground. There was a dresser and a bunch of windows

If it makes you feel better... when I got my wisdom teeth removed it went really smoothly, and in a week and a half I was recovered. I really wish you get a grate experience 🤠🤠

I wish I had something nice to say about this, my I didn't know I had my wisdom teeth until I had to make a x-ray of my mouth because I was going to wear braces... my dentist went: "Oh, and you wisdom teeth look healthy and nice" and I was like: "Wait, are they there? I didn't even feel when they showed up"
Same, I was able to eat normal food (well, stuff like rice or pasta that you don't have to chew a lot) after a day or two and I was able to talk normally after a few hours. But I got the right and the left ones removed separately.
When I had my right side removed the surgeon told me that I could lose my nerves in my lips when hè put in the local anthesia Which brought me into a kind of shock that took me a few hours to recover from but the next day I was Back at work. The other side felt great even though hè really had to dig to get my bottem on out as it turned 90 degrees to what direction it should have gone. It grew parallel to my jaw bone...
@@breadenthusiast2590 I also got them removed separate, I was in the same month, but two weeks apart. Some people say is actually not safe to take both together, I think is because of the anesthesia. For me was actually very expensive, so It was better to separete anyway

When I got my bottom wisdom teeth out 4 years ago, I was totally fine 😊 Like, I wasn't even under anesthesia, I just had gas and novocaine. Went straight home, took some painkillers, read in bed for the rest of the day. It was like, a 3 day recovery time before I was 100%, but I could talk and eat and everything. Kinda had to- I'm a mother lol had small people to take care of.
Slightly weird wisdom teeth story, consider yourself warned (probably don't read this, Kayla lol)- I got my top 2 wisdom teeth out almost 14 years ago, in Marine Corps boot camp. They used novocaine and a blindfold. I wish I was kidding about the blindfold. I cried, but I cried because they were playing music in the dentist's office on base, and it was boot camp- I hadn't heard music in weeks. Still no complications, still a 3 day recovery time, just... weird lol. The blindfold, if anyone's curious, was to protect my eyes from any flying tooth shards as they dug the teeth out 😱
To be honest, I think the reason that eaxis large builds exist despite the item (polycount?) limits is to give players space to grow. The game needs pre-made small, medium, and large homes shipped with the game more than it needs all homes to be furnished to fill the space.
i got my wisdom teeth out like 2 years ago and everything went fine! it doesn’t even hurt that much, but please, follow all the recommendations so it doesn’t get infected, that is when the real pain comes, but if u take care everything will be fine!💖

I agree. Looking at real estate is really fun. And I do the same thing where I'm just like "ew, those colors don't work together, change that. why are there brick floors all throughout the downstairs? too much open space in the kitchen, and island would work nicely there."
I feel you about the wisdom teeth thing. I had a similar situation recently where I needed a root canal. The appointment felt like it was too far away and I was in so much pain I seriously considered ripping out the problem tooth myself. But everything turned out fine. Got the root canal, pain all gone!
