oh yeah this happens in hollow knight. some bosses you need to do something to fight but a lot of them just kinda jump at you. you eventually start to notice arenas
Went way better than my first time fighting False Knight XD I believe you could of broken the left side at some point though to get to the area after! (I've seen a few do this) Well done! :D

Hold up hollow knight is not underrated. In fact I’d argue it is the most popular game in the whole metroidvania genre
