Got the same blue point long bits years ago. My dealer went ahead and warrantied the entire kit with new box last year. He noticed their state of well worn use and just volunteered to switch em out. I also pair them with the same 14.4 snap on drill/driver and a stubby ratcheting screw driver that takes the long bits.

I recently grabbed the new flex gen 2 high torque, it’s actually really nice, I just wish flex made a protective boot. Now the fx1472z may not be quite as beastly as the 961 or 964 but also its a good bit smaller too and imo it’s the only HTIW to really try to keep up with with 2967 on both size & power fronts. Also it’s way more robustly made but also doesn’t feel like an extended mag version of the 2767 which is how the 2967 felt to me because of the tall ass handle the new one had. The grip & the high pitched whining noise was enough for me to return the 2967 & keep the 1472 which I felt broke rusty shit free better and the the 2967 drives lags quicker than anything else I’ve seen but I hated its ergonomics

Any good leads for getting boots if you don't have a mac guy?

I rarely purchase any boots for impact wrenches. I mean they last around 4-5 years and begin to get weak or develop problems, or something better comes out. It just adds to the overall cost of the tools.
That magnetic battery boot from Snap-on is crazy expensive for what it is. The one bought was $30 and it broke, no warranty and now price has gone up. I'm not buying that either.
Check the up and down play of the anvil on all your cordless impacts. They may need repairing already. One reason I quit using Milwaukee impacts, they didn't last long and it took 9 days to get repaired, after dragging ass for 2 weeks and sending the thing off.
Home Depot don't service any tools and the tool truck turnaround is about a month!

Milwaukee don’t last 😂 I mean what you using the Gen 1 and only beating on one. I mean do you wear one pair of shoes and wear them expecting it too last forever cuz nothing does. But as for guys like us we have dozens upon dozens of cordless tools and all types of that matter and never any of my tools have failed or even remotely have any wear also wearing it’s boots like I like leaves you to know that one cares for there tools as I do (also Donmaster) but moral is that this is not for the feint of heart but for those that love tools and take pride in their job and tools. JS But too each his own.
