To me it doesn’t sound like typical country music either, would I be correct in calling it ‘Appalachian Bluegrass’ after hearing of you referencing Appalachian and I’m not familiar with bluegrass music myself but the combination of “blues” and “grassroots” in that genre name seem to fit what your music speaks to me of.
