First thing you have to get straight is on the Coyle goal the Ref said no goal because the puck never crossed the line. That's why Edwards said what he did. Secondly, Edwards is from New England and grew up a huge Bruins fan. So he rubs people the wrong way with some of his antics. I actually like the fact that he comes across as a fan who is not ashamed of how he comes across. If you have watched and listened to Edwards you would also realize he is a fan of hockey all together and does praise and point out how good other players are.
Thirdly, when Marchand scored it showed how close of a group this is. Everyone knew how close Bergeron was and the entire team celebrated like it was their milestone. And that shows how much respect and love the team has for Bergeron.
Also like to say that the Lightning and the fans were really great in showing their respect to Bergeron.

On the flip side of things, as a Bruins fan I had to listen to the Tampa radio broadcast. I think PHIL ESPOSITO can give Jack Edwards a run for his money, though he's color commentary so it's kinda apples and oranges. I had never heard their radio broadcast before and I was absolutely stunned by his grunting and groaning throughout the game.

    1. Jack Edwards is one of the very few commentators that actually use an excited voice when either teams scores (most of the time), unlike the clowns around the league that you would barely know when the other team scores listening to them. He is one of the best color commentators in the league, bringing the game to life and many times making you laugh... unless you like the other team.
    2. You’re a long time Bruins hater / Rangers fan. Just like every Rangers fan I know (born a raised on Long Island), no matter who the Bruins play, you cheer for the other team (just as my brother does as a Rangers fan). So I expect nothing less/better coming from your mouth.

Jack Edwards is the GOAT. I love how he consistently pointed out the NHL's bullshit the entire game. Including a very subtle comparison of a linesman to Tim Peel in that he "wanted to get back at Coyle" for that goal with a slashing penalty that clearly wasn't (However they gave Boston a PP for the same thing earlier in the game so it could have been a makeup call). And that the Tampa high stick no goal issue could be easily remedied by having cameras super impose a line like a car's backup camera does. "We suggested this exact thing to the NHL 5 years ago and got crickets..."
