Could have been much better, either" Nobody likes the people at the top, but sees them as a necessity to keep the country running...

Last night I had a dream that me and a group of people had messed up somehow and we had a list of names who we had to set something right for, we would each take a dice and flip it up and a name would materialize and ugly labyrinthesk monsters would creep from the shadows and I'd have a task. Some only wanted things as simple as cookies others wanted us to take a life and when that happened we stepped through a doorway to take a life and if we died doing it our debt was paid. My dream ended with my sister stepping into this doorway but something went wrong and she was in the middle of these demonic angels and she got torn apart. The more you know 😂
My university intro class made us all get LinkedIn and it single handedly pisses me off more than any other form of media I’ve ever used. All I see are people who I see out drinking literally every night trying to act professional under a poor digital veil lmao

Got sucked in with the 100 hours a week. There are 168hrs in a week -100 of “ work” and 56hts of sleep guessing 8hrs a night ( most people get about 6 but let’s stick with the average. That’s 12 hrs a week to himself and 1.714…. Hours to himself a day. When does he get stuff like showering or cooking or cleaning done 😂😂😂. I’m invested

Tbh, I haven't had any nightmare HR experiences. Months ago, we lost our original HR bloke due to him being treated very, very unfairly (Work wanted to cut his hours, one of our new managers was horrible to him, and work kept piling jobs on him that apparently wasn't his job to take on) He was honestly a lovely man, he did my interview, was very accommodating to the fact that I have a stutter, and let me take as long as I needed. Honestly, I think that was the first time I cried upon a colleague leaving. He was always so patient and kind, and even offered to help me with some mental health problems. Reading the part about HR made me think of him, I feel bad because he probably had a lot of pressure on him

I'm at my current company because when I was checking out another company who'd sent me a job offer I spotted their head of HR had made a ridiculous post about how they come to work even if ill with contagious illnesses because they're so dedicated; and how millenials just don't show any effort now. I decided I'd decline their offer because of course I don't want to work with someone like that.

Ok, the baby one is so wild to me because I literally just visited my sister and her newborn baby three days ago, 2 days after she was born, and visitors werent even allowed to touch her, only the parents and staff, because a newborn hasnt developed an immune system so is potentially at risk from anything. She will be stayin the hospital for atleast another couple days until they are allowed to go home. Not only has this mother taken her baby home after only 2 days, she is bringing it to a filthy fastfood place where she will have to interact with dozens of strangers. I love how these incredibly horrific scenarios always get twisted into some sort of feel good stories...
I doubt it's even a real situation. I'm more inclined to go with it just being a circle jerk story for people for whom work is the extent of their personality...

Someone shared this story about going to a grocery store and getting a message on a cake. It looked ghastly, and when OP brought it to the cash register, the cashiers were taking pictures and all excited because the staff member who wrote the cake message was autistic and “She must be so excited, this is her first time doing it!” And OP said something about how they were just going to take it to the party and have a laugh at it but now they feel inspired blah blah blah. This is the same kind of vibe and I hate it.

Every time I have to log in to copy that profile url and I make the mistake of scrolling down my feed, I get mentally nauseous. People are so pretentious on that platform.

So a DAD is asking strange men on the internet to communicate with his 10 year old daughter? Creepy AF. My ex-husband worked almost completely online, running a satellite office in our home. He drilled down on our kid's online safety, he didn't promote them to strangers. FFS, what is wrong with that man?

got bored and worked out the 100 hours worked a week one. if he sleeps 8 hrs a night which is healthy for an adult (which he probably couldn’t do due to working 14 hour days, unless hes going straight to bed when he gets in) he’d have 8 hours free per week. 8 hours…. per week… that’s no life now is it…
