A see through petrol tank is a good idea for a motorbike because they don't usually have a fuel gage. Glass isn't that fragile if you don't want it to be and it doesn't need to be glass either. If a pebble does fly off the road even if it isn't moving and you hit it at 60 mph the last thing you are going to care about is your bike getting damaged because that means it saved you from getting hit with a pebble at 60mph
