Friendly FYI: The white cucumber sauce you've had a couple of times now is called "Tzatziki" (pron. Za-Zee-Kee) sauce, and is also delicious with french fries :)
We loved those dogs that just walked around in Syntagma square! When my friends and I went to Greece one of us was super homesick for her dog and we would just sit there for a loooooong time while she became friends with all of the dogs. 💜
I loved seeing how much you enjoyed the food! I cooked so much Greek food for my children when they were growing up, and now for the holidays. Its a wonderful cuisine!
7:55 - Butt crack alert!! 9:10 - those sweet dogs taking a nap in the park!!! LOVE!!! Nate whats up with your rolled up pants, did you shrink them doing laundry?? Just messing with you! Love seeing Kara and Julieanne and their beautiful smiles. Kara is adventuresome like me in trying new foods, my husband -ehh not so much. The view from where you hiked to was amazing!!! Greece is definitely a place I would love to visit. I definitely will remember to keep my hands out of my pocket if I should visit a church there! LOL!! Kara and Jordan!!! There ARE cats everywhere!!
I don’t know why, but Kara as the priest totally cracks me up! I have been binge watching your vids from the beginning and whenever I am done with my daily viewing marathon, I have to go back and watch her yell at Jorden. I want to make it my screen saver 🤣
Man, I am loving the Greek food. Like you, Kara, I love bread and sesame. That was like a cross between a pretzel and a bagel, and looked marvelous. And, like you, Nate, I love sweet things, especially pastries & donuts. Those donuts looked unbelievable. Food tours are what it's about.
When I started watching your vlogs last week & saw how much you both(mainly Kara) enjoyed your food, I was waiting to see what you'd think of Greek food. I knew you'd like it & now I'm spot on with my assumption! Greek food amazing... I try to visit at least twice a year. Best gyros by far was a place in called Agia Galini(Crete), 2nd was Filippas(Parga)
Finally! After just a little over 5 weeks (and a mini adventure to the other side of the world, which led me to find you in the first place before I left) I'VE FINALLY CAUGHT UP!
Thank you for a great video. Kara rocks as a greece priest hahaha :) The imitation of the greece accent speaking english was also superfun. Now I'm looking forward to the italian english accent and the swedish english accent. And the food tour. Wow! Keep on going. :)

Haha I like how the premonition of when they ate the first Loukoumades, at the beginning of the video, that it could only go downhill. The funny thing is that how amazing Loukoumades are, there are so so many things one could have eaten in Athens or anywhere in Greece that it could easily be that from Loukoumades everything goes uphill after that. Anyway. I loved your food tour view. I was just like you guys when I was there for the first time. Shocked how good everything was. Greece is truly amazing
I am Greek,I live in Athens and also i am so happy that you like our food.By the way this Loukoumades Restaurant doesn’t exist anymore. You were very lucky guys that you tasted them.
Great video guys, but I gotta be that guy and say that as a Greek I'm ashamed that we always gotta pull the history card in any conversation with a foreigner.. That lady pissed me off with her "Better than donuts" talk, it's crap like that that enforces the stereotype that we're all cocky assholes who have nothing modern to show for so we always resort to insulting other cultures by claiming that "whatever they're doing now, we did it a millennia before them".. I know it's a little detail but still it's subtle comments like those that stay with your subconscious and slowly influence your opinion about people. I hope you peeps had fun here and to anyone reading this, if you're thinking about visiting - You should - We're not all pretentious a-holes, as with any nation and ethnicity, the majority of the people are simpletons trying to make ends meet and wanting to have fun in between - And that goes for literally any country around the world, never let racism discourage you from travelling! P.S: I'd love to visit the States some day but I fear that with my extreme passion for 'Murican cars and low gas prices, I'll want to stay forever - Man what I wouldn't give to be able to maintain and have a 442 Cutlass or a '72 Skylark down here!
Nice view over Athes. I really like when we get high view shots. One gets more of an fuller impression of the places. :) Food looked yummy. The yougurt honey I make at home. Combine it with slighly fried nectarines in good buter and you go to oh lala land asap. :)
I am from Greece and I love Greek food Souvlaki is the best οποίος είναι Έλληνας σχολείο και μετά οι Τούρκοι λένε ότι κλέβουμε τα φαγητά τους αυτοί κλέβουνε από όλη την Ευρώπη
Okay, wow. New subscriber here. First you two are a trip (no travel pun intended). I am going to Athens this fall and am definitely going on this tour. Don't know if I could pull off that hike after all that food though. Might just stay in the park, sleeping on the grass with those dogs.
Yummmmmmy such an amazing day for y'all....honestly torture for me tho as I'm on a 30 cleanse...ugh and bread is my weakness...I survived this vlog tho ;0) LOL...I'm LOVING the Greece VLOGS :) BIG HUGS FROM IDAHO :)
LOL! The dog. =D Brilliant. I didn't know that about hands in pockets in churches. Who knew? You've got me all excited to go to places just so I can do a food tour. =P

Hey guys! I love your videos, just watched 4 of them. I wanted to ask your opinions RE: food. So, out of Greece, Turkey, Lebanon & Israel, would you say you found the food in all of those countries quite similar or different? How would you describe each of their cuisines? And, which of the four was your favorite country for food? I'm keen to hear your thoughts. Hi from Melbourne, Australia :)
Love your videos!!!. Are you guys headed to Albania or Macedonia? Been to both countries and its beautiful there!!! Lake ohrid in particular is very nice...great beaches, nice scenery and good food. The city of ohrid is beautiful.. Also struga.
Hello from Nashville (actually Spring Hill)! Great vlog! love all your stuff. How affordable is Greece right now and are you seeing signs of their economic trouble?
I'm so squeamish so I don't think I'd be able to do any meat markets. Fish is one thing but red meat.... nahhhhh. You all are so brave! However, I would love some spinach and feta pies and ANYTHING with cheese.
Everything was OK, except for that nauseating central market. I used to go there for a while to buy pig hearts for my cats, but now I even avoid to walk outside, let alone get in. Another thing that was not told is that if you eat pastourma in summer, your sweat will stink for about 1 week!
Greece was my favorite country to visit! The food is so good, the culture is fun to learn, and the countryside is gorgeous.
I love Kara's face when it comes to food! The Greek Tomb of the Unknown Soldiers part was fascinating!
Friendly FYI: The white cucumber sauce you've had a couple of times now is called "Tzatziki" (pron. Za-Zee-Kee) sauce, and is also delicious with french fries :)
mmmmm we love zazeekee ;)
My favorite sause (salata) is Tzatziki
Nope! The "t" is not silent!
@@pmparda Correct. There are no silent letters in the Greek language. It is a phonetic language.
This has been driving me nuts lol!
We loved those dogs that just walked around in Syntagma square! When my friends and I went to Greece one of us was super homesick for her dog and we would just sit there for a loooooong time while she became friends with all of the dogs. 💜
hahaha the guy with the butt crack at 7:55 is the real star of this video
Actually laughed outloud.
Immediately went to the comments just to see if anyone said anything about it and was thrilled that it was the first comment haha
llgraffman jajajajajaja 😂 😂 😂
Whyyyyy?
Me too, i went to the comments which i hardly do. Surprised Kara left it in. LOL
I loved seeing how much you enjoyed the food! I cooked so much Greek food for my children when they were growing up, and now for the holidays. Its a wonderful cuisine!
I’ve watched so many Kara and Nate videos that I know how much Nate will love his sweet treat before he tries it! 😇
7:55 - Butt crack alert!! 9:10 - those sweet dogs taking a nap in the park!!! LOVE!!!

Absolutely love Greece. Used to visit once a year when I was younger but haven't been able to go last 15 years but hope I can visit soon. Enjoy :)
It was sheep’s yogurt w/honey (Greek food tour). It’s thicker, very healthy. This all looks so yummy. I used to live in Greece for 3 years.
Thank you for this! We will be in Athens this September and a food tour is an amazing idea we never thought of.

I wish we were still there! Our vlogs are about a week behind, and we are in the Netherlands now. We LOVED you're hometown! :)

whoa! never been this early! Always take care Kara and Nate! 😉
Grecian food is my fav so far. I'm not into veggies and this food seems heavy on meats, yogurts, olives, bread & honey. YUM!!!!
Hello kids, it was lovely to meet you at WTM. Love this video, making me homesick
Ahhh Christina! So great to hear from you. I loved hearing your stories and can't wait to see your documentaries!
sent you an email sweeties
Bougatsa! Oh my God that stuff is delicious. I've had at our local Greek restaurant. Must be even better in Greece.

OH man, greek food tour! Not much better than that!
Hello from Nashville (actually Spring Hill)! Great vlog! love all your stuff. How affordable is Greece right now and are you seeing signs of their economic trouble?
Tom Begley, it is affordable. Many Europeans consider it very affordable.
No healthy diet though... how d'you keep yourself fit?
Andy Lelong, they walk a lot.
+Jen Mar good point, yeah
+Jen Mar It's true! mixed with good genes I guess. We've been feeling really unhealthy lately though and have been doing some running!

just curious; how much do you spend on coffee per month while on the road?
why you didn't get the funicular to go up in the Lycabettus?
including the names of the restaurants would've been helpful
You're lucky with the girl guide and eat the best snacks. You're all cute, wish you the best.

My heart is so broken.
