      people mock boomers but some of em got real grit.
      like my dad, absolutely horrific car crash he went through about a decade and a half ago,left femur shattered into dust beyond being able to repair, flatlined several times and barely pulled through, bunch of organs and nerves damaged etc etc.
      he was stuck in a wheelchair for about a decade... that's right, WAS,now he walks unassisted, yes he's slower and not as steady but wtf do you expect? his airbag didn't deploy and his chest snapped the steering wheel in two places, yet he never gave up or stopped working to get stronger and better,he refused to be pitied,babied and waited on.
      old mans car ended up in a scrap yard meant for cars without survivors, guy running the place was confused why our family walked in without tears,talking about "what to take back for him to use" that's when he learned my dad lived and we learned in over 2 decades no car had ended up there without everyone inside passing away...a place for cars coated in blood,gore,and too crushed to salvage anything realistically.
      some of those guys just don't know what the words stop or give up or hopeless even mean.

    Only in LA... News people interview Randy Stoklos or Steve Guttenberg and they don't have the slightest clue who they are talking to, even after they say their names. Unbelievable. I was randomly watching a "police academy" RUclips clip yesterday morning, before the fire started, and then I saw him being interviewed yesterday. I only saw this because I googled "Palisades Fire & Castellammare" and then went to video. If you don't know, Randy is a Beach Volleyball Legend! He even had his own Nintendo game.

    I feel so sorry for this man and everyone who lost loved ones or their homes…
    The water situation is Southern California is horrible and only going to get worse. As are the winds, the droughts, and the wildfires. Climate change is here and it’s not going to get any better. We need to be better prepared for the consequences of that and have better emergency plans in place.

    • @KG9551
      @KG9551 18 часов назад +1

      The winds have been over 100mph… Southern California barely has any water normally, so in this kind of emergency, they need to get helicopters in the air to contain the fire and they can’t. Fire hydrants in these neighborhoods are dry, they can’t do anything past use the water in the tanks they carry, not nearly enough. It’s insane.

    While I empathize with this man and admire his courage, I'm not sure ABC should be interviewing. He obviously ignored the orders to evacuate and he successfully saved his house. What's going to happen the next time they try to evacuate an area? People are going to remember that this guy stayed and he saved his home.
