WEIGHTLESS as a song title seems almost ironic considering the heaviness of the guitars but that’s exactly what transfers the power and energy to the crowd. EVERGREY did not only play a live show, but they also made the audience feel alive!

How Everygrey can manage to make me feel weightless with such heaviness, that's beyond me. Pretty much puts the "heavy" in "heavy metal".

This band is amazing, so talented musicians and composers.Their guitars are pure metal, those keyboards add colour to their music, that bass is brilliant and the snare sound is much better than in their other live video ("A night to remember"). Skilled drummer too. I´ll buy this blueray/2cd for sure!
The drummer Jonas took over a lot of the composing in the recent past if I remember correctly! Really think he has added some great structure and melodic ideas. Tom correct me if I’m wrong!

Only recently I was thinking why Evergrey don't release new videos of their concerts and voilà.But I'm upset about the lack of songs Monday Morning Apocalypse and Broken Wings.
I grew to love some from MMA, my young dumb self was a bit put off with the change of sound, but I really think it was necessary for them to grow. I think Broken Wings feels like the conflict in the band effected the album IMO and the verse melodies in particular sounded a bit mailed in, but there are still some great moments. I think once they sorted things out in the band and rejoined with most of the original line up it really felt like Tom and the other members really grew and learned during that hiatus and came back so much stronger as a band. I lost touch with their music, but as soon as Hymns For The Broken came out I instantly fell back in love with them! They really sounded so much more cohesive and dedicated to their music! Much respect!
Me too! Torn is my all,l time fave album by them! LOVE Broken Wings! No clue why the band took down that video though!
@@letthetunesflow Actually, Tom is the only original member left. & I feel the opposite I think Torn is their best album & Hymns is their worst! That CD collects more dust than anything else on my stand! So, I am really annoyed that Torn was totally ignored for this live release, esp. after waiting 16 yrs for another 1!

This video sold the BluRay to me. Never heard anything from Evergrey before, but this is awesome. This sounds and looks like a real Livegig, unfortunately a lot of lately recorded live gigs lack exactly that, too "on-point". 🤘🤘🤘
Check out their older stuff! Their 1st Live DVD "A Night To Remember" from '05 is perfect! My fave album by them is '08's "TORN"! Absolute masterpiece! Very underrated, sadly!

Who is the bassplayer?
Johan Neiman. He has been w/them since 2011's "Glorious Burden", & he is a great bassist.
Johan Niemann. Previously he played in Therion (large symphonic metal band) with his brother Kristian.
