Myself, I'm a person who can not fully appreciate a world where I can't share it with my wife and our dogs. We don't have any children because they might grow up to be politicians.

Btw, I cringe when I see a woman riding a horse, Western style. And I used to do _alot_ of barrel racing as a teenager on my mustang pony that I got from the local rez. I also come from a county with a "world famous"😅 rodeo.
But I got just enough exposure to the culture, watching the "rodeo princess pageant", the cowboys doing the bull riding- and the rodeo announcers with their never- changing, misogynistic diatribes...and I realized this was the perfect environment to foster sociopathic behavior, of which this lady is sadly a perfect example🙏🏼.n
You can always tell a person's character from the way they treat their dog-were a couple of pushovers.

This isn't all that political, honestly. She wrote a weird anecdote about killing a dog, EEF found a dark spin to put on it. If a non-politican had written it, he'd probably have done the same.
PS: She's one of the worst GOP governors anyway, so if you're a Republican you should be glad she hurt her career with this.

Very disappointing Edward. I expected better. I always hoped you would abstain from pushing current event narratives, specially those with a political aim.
You should have started off with the facts instead of regurgitating the same mainstream media nonsense:
1) fourteen months is NOT a puppy;
2) the dog had been causing problems for the previous owner before Noem gave that dog a second chance;
3) Urbanites are usually ignorant of the fact that people in farms have working dogs and also have pet dogs. This dog was specifically bred and raised as a working dog, to hunt. He had the hunting tendencies, enhanced through selective breeding, but the dog had the habit of slaughtering chickens and other animals on her farm and adjacent properties. A good hunting dog knows when to turn those urges on and focus them on the appropriate target. This dog was a fail and a dangerous nuisance to other farm animals.
Should she have done it in? NO. It breaks my heart to hear that a dog had to be put down. But the dog was running out of options.
She could have turned it into a shelter where they would have eventually classified it as unadoptable and a bite risk, and they would have put it down. Or, if it was a no kill shelter, it would have spent the next 10-15 years in a 3x5 foot cage.
But no one really cares about the facts, it seems.
Please stick to reading for us non-political treats.
PS. Personally, I don’t care much for Noem. But this dog story is way past its expiration date.

@@chuth2768 It’s not sociopathic behavior. Farmers have to put down working animals all the time, and for any number of reasons. It’s been going on in almost every culture for millennia.
Come on, you sound smart enough to figure it out … why do you think that the actions of THIS one farmer has been blown out of proportion by mainstream media? Why not the animals that other farmers have had to put down through the ages? Just this one. Hmm
