  • Amazon sent the replacement charger. It appears to have had a bad plug.

So it was the Bulgin lead at the wall-plug end that was faulty, a very easy fix chop the plug off and fit a new one !.
Interesting to see it would work here in the UK where we use 240v AC

Yes, glad it was just a cord. I think I have a cord like that in my cord stash. I seem to have a problem throwing out old power cords. Knowing deep down that I’ll never need or use them again, but just in case. I would imagine Astro would work in the UK, just upgrade the rectifier to accept the 220 volt. Hope Amazon releases Astro in the UK.

@@gnjadventures I read the notice on the rectifier on your unit and it would work in the UK without modification. I too have a box full of mains leads, Bulgin ones, two-pin plus another box of transformers from stuff thats died but the mains units were still okay, must have 70+ …maybe its an older mans thing, we didn’t have much back in the day so we gather all we can …just in case!

@@stevenbarrett7648 every time I clean the garage out and I run across “the cord box” I say “I’ve not ever used these. I’m going to just throw them out. Set it by the door and they magically return to the shelf they came from. 😂
