Solis is just perfect. He is perfectly felshed out, he represents denial and he fits deltarune perfectly. You got Jevil, Spamton, and Solis. They are all noticably different in every way, and it works well! Keep up the great work.
My view on what is likely the post-secret boss cutscene we see at 0:59 : After Ralsei probably heals Solis so he survives his insolation failing, he starts mourning about how he’ll never be able to go back now and he’s left crying over what he lost. Then Ramsley, who was probably attracted by the laser light show that was the battle, finally arrives and sees Solis for the first time in years. Solis realizes Ramsley has found them and tries to hide his ‘ugliness’; probably telling Ramsley something along the lines of, “D 00:00 N’T L 00:00 K AT ME!”, afraid that Ramsley will just be disgusted at him. However, Ramsley simply embraces Solis, telling him he had been looking for him for so long, and was worried about him, and that he was sorry that he hadn’t been able to comfort him when he was panicking on the night of his last performance after he looked into the shadow crystal. Solis, on the verge of tears, asks why Ramsley can bare to look at him in this state, after everything he did; but Ramsley states he doesn’t care what Solis looks like or if he can even dance, he loves him all the same. The two then embrace each other, before turning to stone, smiling warmly the whole time. Then, finally, you get the shadow crystal and Solis’ boss drop. Post dark world: After the Titan awakens, Kris and Susie rush to Ralsei’s kingdom with everything from the Light World they could salvage. Most of the Darkners who were recovered start de-stoning, but very gradually. You can talk to some of the other darkners, many of them making jokes about them struggling with their paralyzed bodies, such as being unable to eat when they’re just a head; the jokes helping lighten the mood while preparations are made for the chapter’s final boss, that being the approaching ‘garden’ titan before they can get their hands on Ralsei’s/the Angel’s fountain. You then reach Solis and Ramsley, who are also still stuck together, being statues from the neck down. While Ramsley talks about making plans to reteach Solis how to dance by them doing duets, Solis states that he simply enjoys being able to be with Ramsley again. (And yes, I believe in the theory that we as the player using the soul, are the angel the crew will banish in the end, booting us from Kris and the world of Deltarune.)
