The idea of a sock puppet character becoming the whole ass hand is absolutely genius. Even removing all the Gaster symbolism. 10/10 character design yet again!

There's one piece Gaster symbolism, which is just the fact that it's a hand with a hole in it, but that could just be pure coincidence.

Given the carnival ride theme in the other secret bosses (carosel for Jevil, rollercoaster for Spamton) I think the ride would be the drop tower for this guy. The platforms rise and fall, after all
i was thinking it'd be a helter skelter, cause the mountain at the start kinda looks like one (notice the spiralling lines on it), and the staircase at 0:07 as well bears a striking resemblance to one
I thought it'd be a pendulum ride, so it's like the sock swings you instead of you swinging around a stuffed sock
I know it’s a bit off from the boss itself, but imagine a blue soul secret boss that’s based on a graviton, and the added gimmick is being able to scale the walls in certain segments

Because that’s the implication I got from it.
That's a really nice guess, my thoughts on it were that handromeda, their power spent and their rising cut short starts feeling a twinge of regret, ending this battle in a "they deserved better than me" type moment.

I've been noticing more and more people are making fanmade secret bosses that have physical characteristics akin to MM/Gaster, like how Spamton has the white 'skin', black jacket and exposed white hands and chest, not unlike the Mystery Man sprite. Here, I see that it's a hand with a hole in it, an iconic Gaster-ism.
And the song itself is awesome too.
Also jevil has MM eyes, so each secret boss having design parallels to him might be a theme

@@ghifariasoka8272 Not a bad idea, but keep in mind Toby probably like *actually* scrapped Redacted from the game, as opposed to being thematically hidden in the files and such, like Gaster. Redacted is likely a super early attempt at making Gaster, but Toby didn't think it was working out, so he scrapped what we now know as Redacted, starting over and creating the Gaster we know and speculate about today.

I think its becuz the Freedom motif usually show how the character Desire for Freedom, and it might be sad sometime

disbelief Papyrus's motif is in the song to, hinting at some kind of betrayal
Even fits the thematic that deltarune has followed with plot connections to Homestuck, like how spamton is similar to lil cal and jevil to the other guy, I don't know, I'm not a Homestuck, but this looks close enough to bec noir

I don't know if its just me, but this character and especially the dialogue at the description of the video reminds me a LOT of that one character in waterfall back in Undertale who says, "What's a star? Can you touch it? Can you eat it? Can you kill it?" Maybe its a really obvious callback that i think I'm a genius for identifying, but I still think it's neat.
Edit: And to add on to this, this takes place in a fan chapter that has a dark world in sans and papyrus's house, and funnily enough, the star character that I mentioned, is in the same room as sans with his telescope, whilst also having what I think is a megalovania motif, and being one of sans' socks.

1:37 Wait this part is Interstellar Retribution holy crap that's DOUBLY fitting. The name of the song of course works with the star motif, and the song was also used in (though not made for) Disbelief Papyrus which fits perfectly in with the Blue Soul mode!
And wait I just realized the Freedom section is like, perfectly spliced with the verse of Megalovania?? What????

I absolutely love the idea of a secret boss who pretty much befriends the party before fighting them, it adds an interesting conflict and surprise to the rather unsettling turn in the story. I love this theme btw, it has really unique phases and I love the freedom motif part.
Also, not sure if anyone noticed but I love how there are some small references floating in the background, like Mike at 0:47, Yipe sign at 1:11 (is it a reference to Screepto? Idk I might just be watching way too much fanmade secret boss content lol) and the balloon thing at 1:01 (I bet it's also a reference to smth but I don't know).

Papyrus' Cool Song AND Star? Two underused motifs used in a way that makes perfect sense for the context? Plus a disbelief motif that actually fits and a Megalovania/Freedom motif hybrid that goes hard and also makes sense?
This is definitely one of the better fanmade secret boss themes out there.

I love how Megalovania, STMPWYFS, STAR, and Interstellar Retribution are all included in a way that doesn't make the song feel like any of them.
There's the main melody for Bonetrousle as thr backing melody for Sockswald's main motif in 0:37-0:56

1:33 This sounds like desperation. Like a genuine will to hurry up or else something bad happens, especially with the crescendo and the pitch rising. I imagine Handromeda's ultimate attack to be here
1:54 Sounds very cosmic and ethereal, which I like given the atmosphere
All in all I like how forboding and spacey it sounds. We're dealing with something that touches the very cosmos itself. We might as well be space itself. That's how powerful this *thing* is.
For the ACTs itself, it looks like we have to remind Handromeda of the times when we helped them as Sockswald and when they accompanied (even helped?) us. Though I still wonder what freedom is to Sockswald/Handromeda. Does Sockswald obsess over stars because they want to use save points to go back before they saw the crystal? Does Handromeda want to break out from Sockswald's role as an NPC by literally breaking out of them?
Sockswald, alongside Solis, might genuinely be my favorite concept for a secret boss
Disbelief Papyrus'motif (AKA. Interstellar Retribution) sounds before and after Freedom x Megalo.

Papyrus fights to stop you and tries to make you remember the good times
You fight Sockswald/Handromeda to stop them while remembering them of the good times.

I already loved Handromeda's design before any of the recent videos, but the backstory and theme are make me love it even more! Plus, I always appreciate a good interstellar retribution motif or two.

The leimotifs here go hard, but I ESPECIALLY love the use of the unsued Star song at the tail end. Not only is it a very fitting reference by name, considering Sockswalds design here, but it ALSO fits in the sense that the song itself went unused in Undertale, working back to the idea that all of the freedom bosses have been discarded in one way or another.

A baloon who i believe is Astrochew in 1:00

Something in the top left corner around 1:22
And what i believe is an everyman attack patern in 1:27

I’m basically gonna name the reasons why I love this song and SOCKSWALD and Handromeda
•There basically sans and papyrus in a nutshell with SOCKSWALD being papyrus and Handromeda being Sans (powerful wise not personality wise)
•The design is simple yet so perfect and feels so ominous and eerie
•The Music basically sounds like the games telling you: “Yeah pal you F**KED”
•I can here the megalovania sounding music in the beginning
•You can here some Papyrus and sans Motifs
•At 1:14 You can here the megalovania motif mixed with the freedom motif which is just perfect
•At 1:33 You basically put the Disbelief motif which is just amazing 🤩
In conclusion: This is F**KING Amazing!!!!!!

WOW!!! This is better than I imagined. I love the Mix of Sockswald and Sans/Papyrus Motifs and the mix of MEGALOVANIA and the Freedom Motif was S-tier and the animation GOD-TIER (Love all the references btw). Oh and the title being both a reference to the fact Handromeda has Space connections AND Interstellar Retribution is a nice touch. Overall Great song & video 10/10.

this entire concept is so cool! i'm a sucker for characters who start out as friends, become enemies for a certain period of time, and then either give up or become a friend again. this song is really good, too. one of my favorite oc's ive seen in a while!!!!

0:20 is the beginning of Sockswald's theme (8 bit part) played in Megalovania's guitar

Attacks I could see happening in this fight:
-The gimmick in this fight is similar to the yellow soul, where if you hold space, you can do a high jump that jumps higher.
-Some attack patterns are similar to Sans and Papyrus’ fights but ethereal Hands replace the bones.
-‘Sockswald’ Stars fall from the sky (at first outside the box, but a later version has some of them land directly inside the box), creating shockwaves when they land that need to be jumped over. Some of the stars will be larger and will create a larger shockwave that you need to high jump to avoid.
-Sockswald makes a finger gun that shoots bullets like master hand, requiring you to time your jumps in order to not get caught by them, later on he fires even faster and finishes it with a quick palm laser that you can avoid if you high jump just as he finishes charging.
- Sockswald will start firing lasers randomly, with some flying off in a random direction, while others are targeted towards you and need to be jumped around. A later version has him get more accurate and finish with a sweeping right to left laser that you can avoid by running to the back of the box and high jumping when it sweeps near you.
Final Freakout:
You fall onto a platform, right before it shatters beneath you, and thousands of hands start rushing towards you from below, requiring you to quickly escape upwards by jumping from platform to platform, with stars and lasers falling from above that have to be maneuvered around. The attack ends with the soul left stranded on a lonely platform and Sockswald looming above you, before they fire off a laser, forcing you to jump off to avoid it, the attack ending just as you’re falling into the horde of hands below.
The final attack should be called Final Frontier, like Space
that's really cool, although I might incorporate a super jump somewhere in there that allows you to levitate as a nod to papyrus's "super cool normal attack"

In the background at 1:00 you can see the balloon from The Final Frontier
(Witch is another fan song for a fan char of deltarune, and it makes sense cuz creepabot made the balloon guy to my knowledge, and cutschenes for this)

Spectacular work on the animation and I love all the references to The Other blue soul using secret bosses, not to mention the music being amazing.

also, love the idea of the upwards gravity thing thats exclusive to papyrus "super cool normal attack" is reused here, but actually used for a special attack.

Is the idea with this boss that sockswald's other hand, the one without a face, is the one which wishes for freedom, and with the power of whatever they were given (shadow crystal?), was able to take control, turning the tables of sockswald, who had unknowlingly been using them as a puppet, using them as a second arm, and enact their true desires, of reaching to the cosmos, being able to touch the stars, kill them, consume them? If so, I feel like that'd really cool.

The music being so fast paced and frentic really expresses what it wants to say.
Jevil thinks he's free, Spamton thinks he's about to be free, but Sockswald/Handromeda is actually going to be free and the music makes it sound like if he's just a few steps closer to freedom
