Hey Gabe.. having been to Malaga many times and making several videos, I realized just how much you walked that day. If you had energy to edit videos after that whole day you’re a true tank.
A village in malaga, Spain , was the place that was the setting for the shoot of enigma album... Return to innocence.. The song and scenery is enchanting ..
Thank you for visiting my home town Málaga 🇪🇸 founded by fenicians...Roman city and part of Al Ándalus...many people make this city a great place on mediterránean sea.😍
@@cheny3661 would recommend La Malagueta, the beach area: everything in walking distance, busses to all other playas, beaches, Muelle1 for nice evening walks, old town. You can find easy-to-rent apartments there which can be also quiet since they go to a patio. If you want to have a posh evening, take a drink on Miramar rooftop bar or La terraza de Victoria. And, yes, Muelle1 has nice bars to watch sundowners. And the incoming cruise tourists😉. Wanting to learn flamenco, you can go to Estudio Danza & Musica Victoria which is in Paseo de Sancha. Malaga is a Queen of a city. Enjoy❤️. Where Gabe sits, 15:56 in the vid, there is a wonderful cinema, Albéniz, opposite, which doesn't show usual blockbusters but interesting not so known movies in original language with Spanish subtitles.
So lovely to see you walking around where we're going to live! Malaga is a lovely city and vibrant in so many ways with music, history, museums as well as beaches and nature close by. We will be living inland but the city will be our principle one. Thank you for making me smile on a day where I wasn't smiling so much x
I walked up to the fort almost 20 yrs ago & was very impressed by the construction. I notice a lot more high rises near the bull ring. Txs for the memories
Thats more like it! Well-maintained landmarks, free to enter! Nice restaurants with Spanish speaking people with affordable prices! Beaches enjoyed by locals! That sounds like a holiday and a worthwile destination to me! Always love Spain!
Next town over, Torremolinos has amazing beaches and is only a few minutes away by bus. That way you can have Malaga and Torremolinos, two amazing destinations. Torremolinos is more like the Florida beaches...
Hi Gabriel, that region is very beautiful to visit, rent a car at the airport, the got very good local deals and go to Rhonda (1 hour drive, its absolutely fantastic) also Caminito del rey but you need to book in advance to get in (special place for your style) Mijas is good on your way back, enjoy.
This seems to be a very interesting place, I hope I can visit sometime in the future. Seeing and sharing places like this is why I love traveling and make videos so much! And please keep up the great job! Subscribed!!
Hey Gab I just got back from Malaga. The town square u were in is also where the childhood home of Pablo Picasso is at. They actually have a statue of him sitting on a bench in the corner. Great place!! Thanks for the video.
It is worth visiting, the problem is u might just end up lying on the beach like a bum for weeks just relaxing in the sun which I have done now the last 3 weeks...
Gabriel, You really live an interesting life ! The navigation of your adventure , isn’t as smooth and seamless, as it appears on your videos It seems ! Thank you for sharing the glamorous , as well as the rough patches of your trips !
¡Música épica! Grande Gabriel! I was up there many years ago. Nice views. Very beautiful city centre with this white stones on the bottom. From my experience places can be a bit dirty and every tourist should watch the wallet. The wallet of one of our group was stolen by a thief in a bar. But we made it out alive and we could say: "No hay morros en la costa".
wow quite a long stroll in just one day :) I hope you enjoyed it, pretty much see everything around Malaga city!. however, next time taste different dishes such pescadito on the beach. safe travel! :)
Gabriel, I love your videos. I get to visit so many places with you that I would never get a chance to see. Plus you’re so handsome and sweet. Love your curls in your hair. You are soooo my type. I watched the video w you in Portland Oregon and it was nice to know you were close to me. I live in Longview Washington. I just wanted to share, you are part of my day to escape with you and I can see your sweet smile 😊
You travel from country to country, Gabe, it must be exhausting but certainly worth it. Spain Italy and Greece are some of my favorite countries and I ve visited Malaga in 2018. I loved this beautiful city, but also Valencia, Sevilla, Marbella, Cordue and Grenade. Everywhere in the south there is history, great architecture with mauresque influences, sun, tapas and Sangria..Always alot of happening in this amazing country.... Loved your video and thought that you were so close to Tanger Morocco , but this travel laws are crazy. Flying in from Spain you needed PCR.test... Anyways , that made you explore Ireland.. Wish you a great time in Antigue and looking forward for new videos ! Best greetings from Paris 🖐
Dear Gabriel in Spain also food is culture, generally the places in the city center offer non typical and overpriced fast food, I wish you would have a better experience with some local food probably outside the city center. Nice videos and good luck for the future trips and adventures !
I’ve noticed that in Malaga you need to watch out for the tourist food places/ local drinking places. If there is cheap wine and beer at a popular road the food is usually expensive and not very good.
I loved the video. I always wanted to travel to different parts of Spain. My favorite artist Salvador Dali was from Spain. You really are living the dream, getting to travel so much. You are doing what I always wanted to do except I won't travel alone. I prefer to travel with another person. It is much more fun at least for me. Safe travels.
Gabe, Malaga spans 2800 years of history😘 it's NOT 'not very old as it seems' , as you comment at the beginning. Malaga is one of the oldest towns in Europe and one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world. Founded around 770BC. Greetings from Malaga right now👏👏👏💃🇪🇸❤️❤️❤️. Take care. Btw: the harbour close to Centre Pompidou Museum where you walked and said it looks like construction site, is now one of the most beautiful parts of the city, called Muelle1. And, yes, you are a tough cookie, not only in hiking😘: making Gibralfaro, the fortress, and going again back to your really far away hotel was quite a big thing. You nailed it. Once again. Congrats 🤛🤛🤛👊👏👏👏.
I was just referring to the current buildings not being super old, not the founding of the city. I showed some of the ancient Roman ruins at around 11:00 in the video. Thanks for watching and for the info. ✌
Having stayed in Torremolinos for a week, it is worth visiting Malaga for a few hours - got some good places to visit there. And we have seen practically all the sites you went to
Stay in the old part of the town as it's MUCH better and you're closer to all the museums and historical stuff as well as the tourist side of things and the beach x
Hmm. I saw a lot of cities in Spain. Also Malaga and Valencia. In my opinion they are totally different. I love Spain, but Granada and Sevilla are the best.
The Roman were pretty much everywhere in Europe, North Africa and Near East, apart from the very North (like Scandinavia). They were also in England and Germany
I've heard that the size of an amphitheatre often represented one third of a city's population. So an amphitheatre with a capacity of say 5,000 would imply a total population of roughly 15,000.
A port city that epitomises the Andalusian lifestyle, Malaga is best known for its most famous son - artist and sculpture Pablo Picasso. ... Explore charming laneways and energetic plazas in the city's historical centre and sample the full-bodied flavours of Andalusian cuisine in the many bars and restaurants throughout.
Bomber about the darn Covid test to enter Morocco. Hope that you can make it again next time. Love the background music towards the end of the video. Sounds like "The Barbaros of the Mediterranean" (new Turkish series) drama.
I had no idea that Malaga had Roman ruins! How wonderful to stumble across that. The city looks beautiful. I've spent very little time there because I've usually used Malaga as a transition point to get to other locations, but I can see it's worth a visit. :) My family live very close to Malaga. I miss walking the streets in Spain. Thanks for talking us there, Gabriel. :)
Hi, Gabriel! The traditional Paella is from Valencia but tourist think that it's of all Spain so businesses have been making their own take on it and charging a hefty price all over Spain. Malagueta pronounce "Malagetta". And there is a train from City center to the beach. Just saying. Thanks for the tour. And sorry about Tangier, that would have been nice.
Hey Gabriel, Those aren't construction cranes at the port. Those are stevedore cranes used to load and unload containers from ships. They arent going anywhere any time soon. 😎
Wowww what a nice beautiful city of Malaga, Spain, many beautiful historical places and beautiful be beach 🏖️ thank u so much sir Gabe, for your wonderful walk around tour stay safe and Godbless u 🙏 from the Philippines sir vhin 🇵🇭🙏🙏🙂🙂❤️👏👏❤️❤️👍👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Hi Gabriel, A very nice pitstop in Spain Costa del Sol where there are many residents of the UK are living in this part of the country avoiding the gloomy UK weather. I don't understand if your time is up in Europe isn't Ireland included in that list? It would have been nice to see Granada particularly the Palace of Alhambra.
Hi Gabriel, thank you for sharing your journey in some part of Europe. I enjoyed watching your vlogs. Here in my home country boarder is not yet open so its difficult to travel to visit some Islands. Watching your vlogs it feels I'm relief.
I had a great time in Malaga. If you're looking for a really unique historical spot I really suggest heading to Gibraltar if you get the chance. Not sure what boarder requirement is like right now, but to enter you have to walk/drive across the airport runway.
Why going to Gibraltar - I know it - when being in Malaga🤔??? Tons to discover here, my 3rd week and discovering more and more, like the Neolithic sites around Malaga, not mentioned the wonderful museums this city offers. And awesome flamenco shows, esp. now in Christmas time, the zambombas👏👏👏💃💃💃🇪🇸❤️❤️❤️
Nice video around a great little city of Spain. I'm back there in 2 weeks for first time since November 2019! Seems like your hotel was very much on the edge of things. The old town is really the heart of things and the best place to stay. You found the beach & there is even better beaches if you continued eastwards, such as the suburb of El Palo which is about 10 mins by bus and is lined with restaurants (unlike Malagueta). Another thing I love about Málaga is its a great place to base yourself- Nerja & Granada are only a bus journey away. Córdoba is 1hr by train.
If you had taken a right at the bottom of the road from the easy hotel there is a very good beach to swim at, i spend a lot of time in Malaga and stayed in the easy hotel just this summer.

It’s not THAT big of a city
One minute you’re here, the next you’re gone! Yep that’s Gabe 😂😂
Very good overview of Malaga, the old and the new and the beaches. Definitely worth a visit.

Unsure what to make of Malaga but il say this, the streets are very clean and pretty. It also has lots of cafes and restaurants in nice areas.

Hey guys, how's it going? Good to hear from you, hope you're well.
I've been in Malaga, very nice town, also been in Valencia and Barcelona
Hi, Gabriel. I've been in Spain three times and visited 13 towns. Valencia is my favourite. It is like Málaga, but more beautiful.
Valencia has also been my favourite place in Spain so far. Beautiful and tranquil and less of a tourist hot spot, compared to the likes of Barcelona.
Valencia is beautiful. I agree.
For me it is nr 1 Las palmas de Gran Canaria 2 Valencia 3 Malaga

Awesome! Have you ever been to Madeira, Portugal? There are some really great live cams there to get a feel of the place. Stay safe, thank you!

Most tourists head towards Fuengirola and Marbella. Hotels are cheap and nice beachies.
Exactly.
It's all beach east and west from the harbor. Just one kilometer walk from the hotel, but southwest instead of heading to the center.
