23. "Charlie's Angels" End Credits (8:38 It's awesome to hear a V/O promo for the original ABC airing of "Emmet Otter's Jugband Christmas", which is one of my favorite Christmas specials. I hope to find a recording of that one of these days)

It’s 1980 but still looks and feels like the 70’s!
First few years of a new decade usually feels like the last!
2020 broke that trend: but not in a good way….
I noticed that too when I watched the commercial sets from 1990 that were recently posted. Most of the ads looked like they were from the late 80s. 1980 looked like the late 70s.
9 to 5 is still a classic! 🤩

Vaseline- With the overall feel of this commercial, I can totally see someone making a comic book or a TV show about Vaseline Petroleum Jelly secretly being a superhero called, “Wonder Jelly”.
Instant Quaker Oatmeal- Hard to imagine a kid like this one in this commercial getting excited about something as dull as instant oatmeal. Must be the load of sugar in the flavors of the instant oatmeal that gets him excited for the sugar rush he’s about to receive.
Vaseline-"Wonder Jelly"sounds like the name of a drug from a cyberpunk-themed film
Taxi-Rev.Jim's family is just as out there as he is
Soap-Jessica would later face a firing squad because of this guy😢
Vega$-"If you think i'm going to be your dad,think again!"
