For those planning to visit Dusseldorf, Neandertal and the related museum are very close.

Like you I went there on a day trip from Cologne - where I was staying for several days. I don’t recall it being that interesting but it’s hard to judge based on just a few hours. The good thing about that area of Germany is that you can do Cologne to Bonn and Cologne to Düsseldorf as quick day trips. Ideal for travellers who want to visit as many cities as possible.

Yes, there are many cities in the vicinity that work well as day trip options.

3:33, What, really? I thought Frankfurt is the largest city in Germany. No way, wow.

My most boring experiences in Germany were Stuttgart -by far, Dortmund and Saarbrucken. Düsseldorf is skippable too.

Dortmund and Ruhrgebiet in general do not have much to offer besides maybe Essen south (except of football), you can come to Düsseldorf or Köln for Karneval as those two cities are the main ones for Karneval in Germany, Düsseldorf also has Japantag which is exclusive to it where they celebrate the Japanese community in the city and a lot of people flock over for it.

What are you talking about? I’m German, and cologne is everything, but not pretty. The people in Düsseldorf are very cool, and Düsseldorf is one of the most prettiest cities in Germany. Lord, learn something

@@WilliWucher1895 Cologne is a bit chaotic, but it is a city worth living in. But I still prefer Düsseldorf, which is definitely a very beautiful city. And it has more to offer than fancy shops for nouveau riche people. Düsseldorf Beer (Altbier) for example is the best beer in Germany (I know, that' only my personal opinion, jede Jäck is anders.).

Ja, Köln ist genauso schön wie Duisburg!
