Nah, Rumple's doing this for Belle. He wants to get rid of the dagger (his key motivation) so that he won't face something like Zelena killing his son if someone were to get a hold of his dagger. Don't get me wrong, I'm a diehard Captain Swan shipper, but I also love Rumbelle and Rumplestiltskin and I do hope Belle leaves him (for a short span of time) or does something that makes him pay the price for lying to her for all that time. And I do hope Emma finds out about the heart thing and saves Killian! Anxiously awaiting that! :)

Power for what exactly? He wants to be free of the dagger so no one can control him. It's the power of being in control of himself so no one can hurt his loved ones.
When I first saw this scene a T.V. I thought at the end of it it was going to show Belle hiding in the next room and she heard Hook's whole message. It would have been cool and would've made her catch on quicker.
I have a ? when rumple was talking to killian out side the house rumple said that hook would help him find someone to put magic in that hat so does that mean that it didn't have to be emma in the first place and if so then why not try to take the snow queens powers it would protect the town and he would have gotten what he wanted( to be free of the dagger) I just don't understand y he would make a deal with the SQ and go threw all this trouble to get his grandsons mothers powers when he could have killed 2 birds with one stone and not hurt the people in town and the ones he loved .......... unless the person has to be willing to give up his/hers powers for it to work that's the only way I can understand y he would do that

So what if his proposal was with a fake dagger, they're married and his feelings were true. I think u guys should hop on Netflix to season one and rewatch 'Skin Deep'. Still a better love story then captain swan. Oh and while you're on Netflix rewatch 'Crocodile' in season 2. I dont blame Rumple for taking his heart. At all. I was hoping it. Hook tried to kill Rumple its only fitting the roles get reverse again. Sorry😉, but Forever Rumbelle💕.

Yes Hook tried to kill Rumple and harmed some people who got in his way. That's why I didn't like him that much in season 2 and the beginning of 3. However Rumple started it when he killed Milah. Yes, she was a bad mother to Neal and not a great wife to Rumple, but I don't think that she necessarily deserved to die. Hook was, yes, a jerk back then, but he didn't deserve to loose his true love. Rumple shouldn't be going after power sense power is what killed his son and because he has a wife.

Rumple was always given choices and, except for the time he absorbed Neal/Bae into him and Zelena got hold of the dagger, he always chose power over love. He repeated the same mistake he made with Neal/Bae with Belle and later with Gideon. Hook didn't. He took Milah from Rumple without a second thought, even though she knew he had a son. But he didn't do the same with Emma, who had Henry and Neal. He let her come to him.
