CEO said in the stream they will add 2 planets for slice 2 and with 3. slice (Water update) they will add remaining planets that have water and one will be a full ocean planet :)
Full ocean planet... I wonder how the combat would be like though? -Also, imagine the frame drop if something is affecting large amounts of water on that planet-
I see c= so I'm guessing it's either the first 2 planets won't have water or maybe the water is frozen for one of them like someone else in the comments mentioned for slice 2 x3 can't wait for them u wu ♥ and yey ocean planet x3 ♥
"The Almagest is no ordinary star system. At its heart lies not one star, but two - the radiant Almagest and its dimmer companion, the brown dwarf Delfos. Orbiting this unusual pair are three distinct worlds: verdant Verdure with its Earth-like potential, red and dusty Kemik reminiscent of Mars, and the enigmatic water world Byblos." I guess we just get Kemik at first? Maybe Verdure with Ice instead of Water, but it wouldnt really make sense to release Byblos without water.
Yeah that's a good point c= I'm guessing we'll only get Kemik at first x3 Verdure with ice at first sounds interesting too then they can say we terraformed it and the ice melted or something u wu
SE2 will be nice but I am not going into it until there is a survival mode in it. as for the roadmap, the planets and survival mode is pretty far so it might change by that time. Who knows maybe water will be at the same time as planets.
Yeah having survival will definitely be a necessity for a lot of SE players c= I would totally get it to see the building bits at first though x3 ♥ and ye u wu ♥ x3
I'd just love to have a lot of features back-ported into SE1, so that some day I can enjoy the game and DLCs I paid for but haven't been able to play for like 3 years now.
I am more concerned that there aren't even going to be conveyor systems in the first slice. Like I know it is in creative. But nothing built will be functional for survival without conveyors to connect things. I hope we get more updates with block in between large slices but.....idk
I don't mind any option. When Space Engineers came out, you only had asteroids. ALPHA ACCESS. Nothing is hidden with that statement. You get the best available working version of the game.
its going to take me a while to get the game because it is expensive for me to buy it. and for the first release and this expense and creative mode only i dont know.
@@LucaTheGuide hopefully but the current paying system on SE1 is much more affordable. over the years iv bought all the dlc's and its over time now its such a large amount. but will see hey.
@@LucaTheGuide That is an excellent question. Purchasing SE and using mods is a 3 entity transaction(Keen, Valve, & Consumer). Now, we're adding another entity into the mix. One that is going to harvest personal data to create an account and then sell that data. It is like we are paying Keen and Steam to be exploited. Now, if Steam was charging Keen to use their workshop, I could be a little more reasonable. But, gaming is in the current state it is in because people continue to put up with, mean pay for this nonsense. I have a console, but I don't care about cross platform play for SE or SE2. Now, if purchasing SE2 on Steam also gave me a console key, well again that would be another matter. I don't foresee any company giving multi-platform access to purchasers, despite forcing us to have cross platform play. So, those of us who elect to use PCs have an albatross around our necks because software is being held back for consoles.
The stream had a ton of problems but not even showing water off despite this close to EA starting and then not even having water available for a while afterwards makes me think it's horribly buggy or just broken right now and maybe still will be in January.
@@tackytrooper Yea there's no way that could have been completely faked or some barely stable sloppily patched together mess or just happened to break sometime between then and now.
Release it with ice, add water later. Make it meta and say that the Space Engineers managed to terraform it in the meantime.
Ye kinda thought of that being done that way as well xD that would be interesting to see x3 ♥
@@LucaTheGuide Would have been fun if they added some kind of terraforming event.

Can't wait to play Subnautica again

I'm debating whether or not I want to pre-order whenever I get paid next year or wait till February
I'll just buy it when the Alpha is released on January xD x3
They even said Oil could be a new liquid alongside water. So maybe we get to extract oil as a ressource for energy.
Ye xD I was like AMERICAAA on Discord voice chat with my friends when we heard them mentioned oil in the stream xD
I just hope people keep playing SE 1 until 2 is actually finished.
People will, especially if they add early and mid-game encounters.
I think they will yeah c= I certainly will xD

@@LucaTheGuide Integrating Havok 2022 with SE1 would be perfectly possible, it's just a matter of effort. I hope they consider it worthwhile.

I hope we get 3

Yeah I remember those days xD was kinda crazy when planets for SE came out x3
@LucaTheGuide lol, I never thought it would ever happen.
You say months, but I fear it could be 1 major update per year. Space in 2025 then planets in 2026 and finally water in 2027...Multiplayer 2028?
I hope it won't take years ; -; ♥
I think the planets that have water will only be one. The others will probably have ice.
its going to take me a while to get the game because it is expensive for me to buy it. and for the first release and this expense and creative mode only i dont know.
I see u wu yeah it is slightly more expensive than the original SE, and yeah hopefully survival mode comes not too long after the release x3 ♥

Keen electing not to utilize the Steam Workshop for mods is probably going to be a deal breaker for me. Which is unfortunate, SE is a lot of fun.
Awe >< what's wrong with mod.io? o:

Half of any roadmap items never see the light of the stable branch.
