Reminds me of driving a roofless AC Cobra kit car from Manchester to Dundee in 8 hours of solid rain and frequent stops to empty a cracked distributor cap. Luckily the rain covered my tears.

I had a Caterham a few years back, and this reminds me of several miserable journeys in torrential rain, at night with the full 'hood' on, and one or two without a roof on. Caterhams aren't particularly good at stopping water ingress at the best of times, your head is at the height of most people's headlights, the wipers are tiny, the side and rear plastic windows mist up and even the heated windscreen wasn't much better. A 'half hood' is generally much better when you're actually driving.

BEST VID EVER! You love your cars, Elly esp... but you are at one with TWC, it’s always on a knife edge in her! A brilliant bonkers mental case journey in the most dire of weather, in the wrong clothes, without a window! Ian, you sir, win this weeks ‘Daft bastard’ award.... genius level 😆. Can’t wait for the new unit footage, hope it’s got light and power 👍

I'm feeling very fortunate to be sitting in the comfort of my own living room with a nice cup of tea watching this, and not experiencing it first hand! My first drive in any form of classic car was in similar weather (but in winter so bloody cold) in a 1974 VW camper, frantically trying to keep the windscreen demisted.

Have you considered that the tourists might actually be subscribers and know who you are? Not many invacars in mid Wales I'm sure. And I recognise those roads. Spent many an hour driving over them. Especially the hill road from Devils Bridge, up over the tops to Tregaron and then Lampeter and beyond.

What a place for the choke to live. Of the dozens and dozens of your videos I have watched over the past couple of years this has now become my favourite of all of them. Thoroughly enjoyed from start to finish. I remember when you found this car in a field - neglected and not running. Well, it has finally dawned on me that no matter how much I try and make my Skoda Yeti different from the crowd, I will never get even close to the uniqueness of you bombing about in this crazy invalid car. Bravo.

Whatever you throw at her TWC keeps going, epic film. Three Wheeled Courage! Was out in a similar storm with my sidecar, one of those where you try and remember where the road edge is cos you can’t see it. Sidecar wheel loves to really drag you left in standing water. Mutter curse and wonder about your sanity and then grin like a madman and go back and do it again because you feel so alive!

The Invacar restoration process basically sums up why I watch your content Ian and I want to thank you greatly for such compulsive viewing. I say to you in all seriousness please be careful driving that car in such awful conditions. It looked absolutely terrifying. All the best to you.

Keep up the great channel.
