*60 days in jail should be MANDATORY for someone before they can become a judge. Kind of like how cops are required to be tazed before they can carry a tazer.*
TRIGGERED. Judges hand out insane sentences for minor victimless crimes without knowing what that does to people and their families. This would also give them a better perspective. He'll see that people are doing more time over marijuana and failure to pay child support than people who have committed violent crimes. This is my idea to help with overcrowding and unfair/ unjust sentences. With 5% of the world's total population but 25% of the world's prison population, something has to be done.
John Dane It would show the damage that 60 days in jail does to their mental well being and the damage it does to families of the person in jail for 2 months. The Judge would be better able to determine the punishment that fits the crime and jails and prisons wouldn't be overcrowded. The taxpayers would save A LOT of money. Money that would be better spent on the pothole filled roads that I drive on that damage my car.
Reality TV is just going a little bit too far....I've been in jail and prison and no show like this can even get close to what it's really like.... It's not really that bad if you're not a stupid idiot. This is criminal in itself to even show to people ! More fake news ! My crimes were all non violent by the way .
Zac: I feel like this will give me a perspective that no other law enforcement officer has. Translation: This is going to look so fucking good on my resume!! XD
Thank you. I had the fortune of working as a corrections officer in a Texas prison to help put my wife through school. It was an absolutely life changing experience. I knew my time was short. I learned a lot about listening from listening to inmates and officers alike. These are all people. Justice should include rehabilitation or we have failed as a society.
Oh man, in middle school, there is this girl (not telling the race) who was making noises and distracting the class. The teacher said, ''who is doing that'' and I pointed to the girl. The girl called me a ''snitch''. I'm not in middle school anymore, thank god.
its not so much the walls as it is the lights being on 24/7, that was one of the hardest things to adjust to.. most places dim them at night.. some places will keep things dim all the time, which was the easiest to cope with
The guy that runs his mouth the most and the guy that walks up to the front of the group like he runs things are the 2 people that are likely to need their ass kicked first.
juan luis huerta vivar Oh, I know I would. I'm not saying I wouldn't. It's a joke in the sense that correctional officers, and officers that're in the prisons, and the states that own the prisons, don't give a fuck about the prisoners.
The United States corrections system is all about creating profits for federal and state agencies, and for corporate stock holders. They stopped giving a shit about inmates when prisons became privatized in the late 80's.
part of fixing the system is creating a FAIR environment for inmates, that means no predation and bullshit as much as possible. Otherwise, it defeats the point of prison. It's about serving time, not giving murderers an opportunity to prey on trespassers and tax evader geeks.
Your population is 10 million versus America’s 300million ofcourse crime and all by probability wont be such an issue. More people = more chance of crazy people. Just math.
I think you guys are confusing Jails with Prison. This show is Jail with people waiting to be sentenced or serving their time typically up to one year. Usually people in Jail have lesser crimes, meanly misdemeanors. Prison, on the other hand is for people with Felonies, murders, "10 yrs to Lifers, etc". The most that you will see in Jail is a fight, but usually nothing harsh. Besides who would risk doing something crazy when you're serving a year or less?
The mom that went to prison Daughter:mommy can you help me with something? Mother: Sure*starts making a shiv Daughter: what are doing ? Mother: Sorry old habbits
The balls, and the sheer nobility, of this Sheriff taking this risk. The consequences were huge as it was, and it could have gone much, much worse. What an admirable person. Sometimes, politicians really do want to improve their world, and some are actually willing to do so. That's commendable and exemplary. I'm not a cop, but I'd be proud to work in his organization.
Yeah I just watched all the episodes in one day, the best scene was when Robert goes in for the first time and he's ask the other inmates if they pass the NFL network.
Same. As much as people hate Robert. He was hysterical to watch. The guy is unbelievably oblivious and nutty. When he went in that cell during bible study and started talking about how they were all better then child molesters. My mouth dropped. It was like he was asking to die. They went from thinking he was a cop. To just thinking he was just dumb lol
I've seen the show. Some of the stuff that goes on in the show is pretty crazy. I know that I couldn't survive 60 days in there, heck I wouldn't last 10 minutes.
Corrie Hadady Just watched it. The dude made himself vulnerable. Can't show kindness in these circumstances, it comes off as weakness. Give them an inch and they'll take miles. He's lucky he wasn't there for real. He was going to become everyone's bitch.
Half of my life I grew up in a homeless shelter, and when they were talking about the what the sleep on thats practically what you have to sleep on there. But you get blankets and pillows ect. But also there is a lottttt of fights there and drugs. The best i can describe it is, its like a jail but a little bit less bad
Finally, a series that shows the truth what actually happens in prison or jail. It always start with the head man in charge. If the one you are trusting to do their job is corrupted then the whole system would become corrupted. All the stories I hear from behind the bars sheds light to not only his jail system but the criminal Justice system in general. You can't expect someone to rehab themselves when the same mess going on in streets are also happening in the system. So Kudos for shedding light on what many people hear but wardens and sheriff turns a blind eye to keep people institutionalize.

You can’t make them feel horrible, unneeded, hated, and unworthy! You have to make them feel comfortable.
dog lover101 just because he went to affghanistan doesnt make him a fuckin super hero he can still get them hands just like any other person in the world
Once a person is "IN" the system, the CO's that work the prison can be sadistic ass holes. They DO torture inmates in secret, many many ways. I was tortured for claiming my innocents in a note on a little piece of paper. I maintain my innocents to this very day. My wife and I were sent to prison for violating a non-existent law. The Judge in our case was a woman and she told the jury flat out that she would be the one who decides what the law is. When the jury was was hearing closing arguments from the prosecution, the prosecutor told them that we hadn't actually broken any laws but the jury didn't hear it. The judge had manipulated them to the point of total control over their verdict. Even though the prosecution admitted our innocents right to their faces. They still convicted us.
I'm about to do 11 years over a damn fight I had 7 year old passed record that they kept using against me to top it off the man I got in a fight with claimed I tried stealing his car just to justify the reason he pulled out a knife and cut the back of the head. I had a great paying job a brand new 2016 VW and 3 daughters one of them is about to be born any time now . it really sucks I have to turn myself in on the 12 I had everything I could ask for but just cus my pass record and a lying person I gotta do time and leave my daughters behind
Tax evasion and conspiracy. When you know what the law commands as opposed to what the IRS says it commands and you try to use it in court in your own defense, you will not be allowed to use it. Even though they charge you with violating the "LAW" they will NOT allow you to bring it up in court and you loose.
for real. prison without the far of being killed or beaten near death is amazing. no worries no responsibility. it's not for everyone. but I love to be by myself. I was arrested for 30 days no bond. and was released after court because I didn't do anything. had no money to bond out give me a 5000 bond on "first offense." which was like 250 dollars stolen from a shit bar. had a car that looked the same. and they had no security cameras. so they picked me up. but the guards just rip and break you down till the almost force you to make conflict. I'm a small dude and have no record. what am I too do? the sheriff's or guards will pass that info for next to nothing. they want to see people fight. why do you think guards get fucked up sometimes?
Well she looks like she cooks very healthy food like at the beginning, so she is just cooking for her family while he helps bring in the money. They probably talked about their situation many times anyway
If corruption is true in the taxpayer paid prisons and jail then that means the private for-profit business jails/prisons are just as corrupt or worse.
Justin P. They talked about it briefly but I don't remember which episode. I'm guessing it was one released near the time of my original comment though.
*60 days in jail should be MANDATORY for someone before they can become a judge. Kind of like how cops are required to be tazed before they can carry a tazer.*
Agreed
You must be dumb. The judges can make friends with inmates and when the inmates go to court he could favor them.
TRIGGERED. Judges hand out insane sentences for minor victimless crimes without knowing what that does to people and their families. This would also give them a better perspective. It's the officers choice to get tazed. They can carry without being tazed. Some chose too though.

I believe her she is more kind, being in prison is tough and the law prays on defenseless people to put in jail or prison.
*Oh So there are 7 new kids in school...awesome!*
They still convicted us.
lol how tf do you claim an innocents
I'm sorry to hear that. Just shows that the Justice system is messed up.
damn good luck

+LOKDOWNKING what the f is this world coming to..lol
for real. prison without the far of being killed or beaten near death is amazing. no worries no responsibility. it's not for everyone. but I love to be by myself.
LOKDOWNKING I thought the wife was just a teenage girl
Dang, some of the bravest people I've ever seen.
I dont think I've ever heard of a sherrif trying this hard to fix a jail. Hes on the right track
60 days? Prison? Sounds like army basic training to me
SpencerG lmao so true
Not even 🤦🏽♂️
I hated Barbra! Her whole identity was "My husband is in the military and I stay home and spend all his money."
Very much agreed.
GuckFoogleplus That was what she kept saying over and over though....So, we do know what her situation is.
Dependapotomus.
Except she isn't fat.
Yet.
YaowBucketHEAD are you body shaming people
Well she looks like she cooks very healthy food like at the beginning, so she is just cooking for her family while he helps bring in the money. They probably talked about their situation many times anyway
If corruption is true in the taxpayer paid prisons and jail then that means the private for-profit business jails/prisons are just as corrupt or worse.
0.75 times speed makes it more relaxed despite the initially tense music.
He said night time "wanker" instead of "worker" 😂😂😂
Euan Robert co-ancor
Yeah I noticed that lol
aint no way in hell I'm volunteering to go to jail. FOH
I really enjoyed this video. I think everyone can agree our prison systems need to be fixed. This might not be perfect, but its a step at least.
Now this kids took 61 days 60 days for staying in prison and 1 day for editing fax
60 days in San Quentin plz
BigBenMK better bring some lube bud😂😂😂
That'd be impossible without getting caught. You'd actually have to be a real criminal who's now working for the law to go undercover there
Did anyone come from rooster teeth podcast?
Jenna and julien?
They talked about this show? What episode?
Justin P. They talked about it briefly but I don't remember which episode. I'm guessing it was one released near the time of my original comment though.
4:25 u already know it is !
This is literally middle school, but for adults and they can’t go home.
So he laced up to basically get his ass whooped.
she looks like Olga from Hey Arnold!
I want to try this
All they had to do was watch beyond scared straight to see and hear how honest the officers are about how they don't help or intervene all the time.
