For social media and RUclips I think this is really cool tech. The smaller and quieter the better. I think the only con is that the quality of the image is not up to par for “cinema” usage. But honestly doesn’t seem like it’s really for that… so.. all good in my opinion! Another great video.

@@MattiaMerli hey man, it's a very good question. I actually sold my last DJI drone (mini 3 pro) earlier this year. I really liked my mini drones..good for travel and recreation and we even started using them on paid shoots instead of the mavics. I liked them for their small size and easy to carry but when hover released the first X1 I was sold on how easy it was to use and the size. With this new one it opens up a lot more possibilities whilst still being small, light and extremely easy to use. I'm traveling to 6 countries over the next 7 months and just want to get nice footage without too much fuss. I get that some people will want a drone with 30mins or so battery life but I really like to get a shot and move on... especially when you're somewhere new with friends and you want to stay in the moment. That was kinda long but hope it explains why I'm rooting for Hoverair.

Really like your skating shot. Do you have any issues using Dolly Mode for an extended period? Mine has trouble maintaining tracking when it is flying backwards and swings around to my rear after a few seconds.

Great review. I own the X1 and X1 Pro. With the X1 I have audio always perfectly synced (using the phone) but with the X1 Pro I have a lag. Was your audio in sync or did you have to edit it to get it synced?
Hi, yeah I had to sync it. That's one of the software issues I was thinking about and there's a few other things too. I know hover are reading the Facebook comments so hopefully they get things sorted quickly. The OG X1 is so solid, I was expecting a lot from the pro & promax but they do need to work round the clock on these things.

what is the quickest way to take a few video quickshots + a few still photos? Does the controller have a button to toggle between photo mode and video mode? If not, i suppose this means using the manual control from the app on the phone, right?
@@GenuineArticle71 the rear button on the controller one is meant to be photos but it's not implemented yet...this is what I mean about software needs finessing. At the moment the best way is the app. On the old X1 you could set the custom feature to snap photos and you have some hand gesture options. New one I'm not sure yet.
Great to see an alternative to the DJI drone. Lots of useful information in the review of questions and real use application which is always good to see. Does it have a cinematic mode (DJI term) for slower controls and smoother movements?

Thanks for the info brother I have been looking for a drone that I can deploy without having to spend days/months learning how to operate. The fact it's so easy is such a blessing man and actually makes me want to use drones again. I've seen those boom pole shots and they are pretty cool but the hover is something you can do a lot with.
@@dreamsandrealms4581 so collision only works in 4k and it's definitely not high speed. Look at it as a way to avoid it hitting someone in the face or crashing into a wall. It's not really designed for complex avoidance as you saw in my test at the beginning. It will avoid a lot of obstacles but the drone moves all over the place. I didn't test voice control a lot as it's so easy to just press the buttons...sorry for that and I hope you find another video that did deep tests.

@Altcine thanks - I tried the Neo but found it difficult to fly at slower speeds towards a building relatively near. I was using the phone app, and just didn't find the movement was smooth

Hi, that could be anything...bad settings, fake or old SD card etc etc. do a fresh install and don't change any settings. If it still stops then it's probably your SD card.

im about to refund mine, been such a headache and now the videos freeze and glitch. Any recommendations for a good low light camera , I have a lumix g9 but dont care to upgrade the lens Id prefer a real deal camera hopefully 800$ lol
@@MTKnockOut ahhh that's a shame man, sorry to hear that... I'm glad mine doesn't have that issue and I hope it's something Hover resolve. $800 that's a hard press for a good lowlight camera. The only cameras I found at that price for decent lowlight was the bmpcc4k & speedbooster or Lumix S5
@@Altcine lumix s5 it is, my g9 def out perfroms a bm4k with lgh 3200 iso and the right lens all though the viltrox 200$ nikon F adapter wasnt all too good, may opt for sigma or just the 12-60 lieca as HLG and 3200 iso are nearly grainless s5 doesnt have better auto focus than the G9 so its hard to take that one over any else Would rather get a cheaper sony as a b cam, or the sony ze e1 at 1600$ and go in debt for a minute. Had I had a grianless camera I could pay it off in no time, but If its at best 50% better than a phone whats the point of spending 400$-800$ Would rather just record hand held with a drone and fly when needed and do it all with that Thanks!

@@techtrx most probably. I class them as 2 completely different drones though so it really depends on the user and what content you're creating.

I’ve heard that controlling with phone only can be dangerous if it loses connection.
It can be, make sure you set 'Return to home if connection lost' it's in the app.
I enjoy my X1 Pro, and I don't need another drone to be crap for me to appreciate my Pro.
