i've followed your tutorial and got the bootloader unlocked and twrp on it, but after all that it wouldn't boot, started a bootloop. Lucky i found a way to unbrick it. I own the Pac-Man edition wich is the DN2103 , would that be the reason it didn't work out as planned?

You can skip vcom drivers but that are for detection of mtk devices on pc. NO need to press that volume down+power If you have updated fastboot and adb drivers that command will. Boot to recovery directly. When you are in fastboot and want to reboot to recovery only following command works fastboot reboot recovery. I don't know about Mac but if u have installed the latest drivers on windows os then go to platforms tools folder in C drive and there open power shell window by clicking shift+right click of mouse

Okay, it's not booting then type fastboot reboot when screen goes black and tries to boot immediately press volume down + power button till you see booting screen and small name comes at bottom RECOVERY which immediately vanishes then wait it will boot to recovery. If you failed to do that you need to flash twrp flashing process again remember this.

Adb detection doesn't mean that your fatsbooot will work properly. Open CMD in platforms tools if there still it's not detects the device. Then connect phone in bootloader mode, open device manager and if you see exclamation mark then manually install driver by using drop down menu in the pop up menu
