Awesome! Honestly, they both have their pros and cons - of course. It really comes down to personal preference on the appearance and how/where you will normally drive. Good luck - and always feel free to ask questions if you have them!
I love the look of the rock rey better.. what I like about the max is the big tires.. but although it has more power than the rock... that didn't seem to stop the rey from doing everything better😎😎
@@RoadsideRC Location and the trucks are great. I have an X-Maxx and know how fun it is. Cool seeing the Super Rock Rey and X-Maxx tear up the terain together!
I liked your reasoning of what rig to bring back to that place. I would go with the Xmaxx too. And you guys were plastered with mud. Ha ha. (Im jealous.)
No doubt, I actually had more fun driving (sliding) the SRR around...but I was always just a little cautious. With the X-maxx, I tend to just go for it, knowing the fix is easy and cheap!
All out swinging with both Rigs brothers. Love construction site bash man! All types of terrains makes for some awesome fun run! Getting crazy with it in the mud! What a bash guys! The big group Clarence on the xmaxx makes thru toughest and roughest terrains with ease. Bash on brothers!!
Thanks for the sub! We love the trucks we have. The Yeti has been sold...and I do regret that sometimes. Thinking of trading the 1/6 Rock Rey for a 1/10 Rock Rey. Just for the heck of it. Do you have any RCs?
I was surprised how better is the RR at 6:25. Overall, I prefer it more as it don't lift up the nose at every start, but I'm pretty sure, that I would be a glad Xmaxx owner as well.
Just a part 2 bash vid of both rigs. I have an Xmaxx 8s & know it can handle a thorough beatdown. The Rock Rey looks like it’s pretty capable as well & appeared to handle the abuse thrown at it. It was cool to see 2 different types of bash rigs tearing up some terrain.
This is how I need to run my trucks lol. I hardly ever get them dirty and drive over everything. Definitely missing out! Gonna start with this new srr I got and my Reeper 👍 Was the SRR on 6 or 8s? 🍻
That is right! People keep waiting for something to come out as the "X-maxx killer", and it just hasn't happened yet. I would say this Super Rock Rey is a contender, so is the CEN Reeper. Otherwise, still the King X-Maxx!
Great video. I was looking to get some more aggressive tires for my SRR. What’s your opinion on 17mm hex adapters and tires? I was looking at Trenchers, Six Packs, and Backflips.
This is what we had tried before. I would suggest keeping an eye on the total OD of the tire. This truck looks GOOD with some big tires. ruclips.net/video/CVGySP6nPJA/видео.html
Just be careful what tire you get. The crawler tires I used with cheap eBay beadlocks wouldn't stay in the beadlocks with this 8S power. Would just rip the tire straight out. I would highly suggest a glued tire. All of the tires you suggest should work.
@@mickeylopez6119 For tires & wheels. If you were going to be doing more high-speed stuff, I would go with the Proline badlands. A little less balooning, more stable at higher speeds: amzn.to/2U3nnLP If you will keep it slower speed, more trailing, stuff like that, I would go with the Proline Trenchers. Nice and sticky, but do tend to balloon a lot under big power: amzn.to/302YYtW
Thank you sir! Maybe one of your videos can be about the RC scene in Australia? I know there is a strong group down there. It would be interesting to see your creative take on it.
So I am follwing your advice and am up early, before the rest of the fam to get caught up on rc videos, and this is a good way to start a day, watching yours. "Watch out!! There is a pole there!" Lol, and another one "Hey watch this, this a bad idea..." Had me laughing. Fun bashing and great spot to be driving in.
Such a touch question! I would have to lean towards the X-Maxx for general bashing and usability in a wide range of situations. The Super Rock Rey is great, but very expensive when you break things, and difficult to work on.
@@rcbashbrothers9839 I have not! Looks like a cool rig, but I have some concerns about the bashability. Watching a bunch of videos, it doesn't look as "nimble" in the air as these two. Not sure if that is just optics due to the size or not. I imagine it is probably a blast in the right environment!
The X-Maxx is cool and all, but for me I picked the SRR over the X-Maxx. I've driven both and have much better control with the SRR not to mention it looks better to me. If I went to skateparks to use any of my RCs, then maybe I might have an X-Maxx, but at this point my LST 3XLE will handle it all the same. I use my RCs majorly in the dirt and mud and water and the clumsy control of the X-Maxx would get to me. I do like the ground clearance the X-Maxx has, but that creates a tendency to roll over. My clumsiest RC is probably my UDR but I can control it better than anyone I've personally met. I've also been slowly getting away from the smaller scales and been buying 1/5 scales. I did buy the LMT recently and only drove it for like 30 seconds up until I get the rear steer parts. It already has a 1900 kv motor out of a Lasernut in it to run 4s. I just need kingpins and steering knuckles for the rear steer conversion. Honestly, I'm not sure how much I'll even use it, but I like the look of it.
Thanks for the comment - but unfortunately, my X-Maxx is almost stock. Would love to do the big motor upgrade and crazy gearing, but just haven't been able to afford it yet!
Both seems great trucks, but in my opinion we need see more from Srr showing what is capable. Thx for this good moment.
What would you like to see more of from the SRR? I am happy to try!
