I have one of these trucks. Still stock everything. I'm not sure I'll even upgrade anything on it to be honest, other than the front diff housing. I want to get the aluminum housing for it. I honestly don't drive this one all that much because the torque steer can be a little rediculous. On 30% running 8s is still pretty rediculous. Off road the grip leaves a little to be improved upon. It's almost as if it needs paddle tires or something a lot more aggressive. I honestly drive my 3XLe and my TRX Bronco more than any of the other RCs I've got. I also have the UDR and you are right about what you said, BUT they might be built similar but are nothing alike. The UDR is 1/7 scale while the SRR is 1/6. The UDR is ment to be more scale, even though the SRR is scale (not nearly as scale as the UDR) as well. Don't get me wrong, even with the cons I listed, the SRR is a very very fun truck. Only thing I've broke on it is one of the rod end links for the rear upper rods. Steering needs to be tightened up as well. Good for a truck of this size and solid axle, prevents roll overs. I think for the $800 dollar price tag, you are getting more than a bargain. Replacement parts for it are a few pennies and a dime or two. Seems this way for a lot of Losi products though to be honest. Far less than the SRR's nearest competition, the X-Maxx. The SRR is far superior in build quality than the X-Maxx as well. The thing that saves the X-Maxx from damage is the big tires. If it ran the tires the SRR does it would break constantly (I've tried it). I have no fear of launching the SRR as far as possible, and it takes it just fine. It's not even ment to be a basher but from what I've seen it takes a LOT of punishment. People are probably going to think I'm hating on Traxxas, but I assure you I'm not (even have 4 Traxxas models), I just feel like the SRR overall it better built. The driveshafts are far bulkier, the gears are found in 1/5 scale trucks, even the steering servo is quite stout. I'm not even going to mention the motor and ESC because that which is found in the X-Maxx is honestly a joke for a truck of it's size. My brother has a 1/10 Rock Rey and has mod 1 gears. The X-Maxx (1/6 scale) has mod 1. The SRR (1/6 scale) has mod 1.5. If anyone ever wondered how the X-Maxx and the SRR compare, you'd have to see them in person. The SRR motor is literally bigger than a can of red bull and just a touch smaller than a 12 ounce soda can. The ESC is rated at 160 amp and motor is 750 KV while the MAXIMUM for the X-Maxx is 135 and 1200 KV. I would like to see a more substantial motor and gearing in the X-Maxx, but it just doesn't have the room. When it is upgraded with a better motor and ESC, the center diff cush drive explodes and the rest of the drivetrain follows suit.

Hi! Thank you for sharing your experiance! Have you see'n, that your trailing arm touches the springplate (rear shock) when the shock is fully sprung(to the end). That kills the shock. Could that be the reason for your shock- limiter-strap? Sorry for my bad english! Hope you can understand me! Wish you all the best for your hobby and pull the trigger full! 😎

Hey Jason - where are your running videos of this beast. How is it holding up? I have an SBR 2.0 and I'm tempted to get this too. Same parts slightly different terrain design. Thanks for the vids.

Hey Jason, thanks for all the great videos about the SRR. So far I have a 3S Arrma Granite, and a modified TRX4. Right now I am looking for something bigger, and I am torn between the SRR and an XMAXX. I don‘t have access to skateparks to do big jumps, I like to take my cars for a hike into the woods, a quarry, or the mountains. In your video you said: „If you already own an XMAXX...“. Well, I don‘t. Would you still recommend the SRR as a first larger scale, or an XMAXX because it can do everything just better? Thanks!

@@JasonPerrinRCVlogs hi I just picked up my losi super rock Rey 14 days ago and I think I'm having an issues and was curious if you had experienced it and if so how did you correct it. My issue is that when I accelerate the rear right end drops down causing the left front tire to come off the ground. Losi sent me new springs, and I have check the shock fluid and losi recommend me to out heavier weight and I'm still have that rear right drop. I also tried shifting the rear shock around to see if this issue followed to the opposite side and same thing on the same side.

Definitely have my eye on this. A little concerned about the ass kicking up, that reminds me of my Kraken vekta.5 (aka when you buy a expensive roller and invest thousands and thousands and...). I like that it's different. Waiting to see what ARRMA is releasing this November, before buying this one.
