Not me, because my parents listened to great music! I did get bitched at a bit for raiding their record collection and not putting things back properly. I went see him live at Vterans Stadium in Philadelphia back in fall of 1980, great concert; he is such a gifted rocker. At that concert several women put on Wedding dresses during this song, the spot light found one girl up in the nose bleed section lol I was on the floor!

Greatest concert ever
Bobs super power is his soul. He tirelessly sharpened his craft with heavy influences from the likes of James Brown, Ray Charles, Spencer Davis and many more. My parent grew up in Pontiac, Warren, Romeo, Sterling Heights in the 60’s/70’s and they would spend their weekends bopping around the Detroit area wherever he was playing before fame watching him open for Mitch Rider, Alice Cooper and other now famous musicians (Glen Frye). Detroit truly was Rock City back then!

While the song "Somewhere Tonight" by Bob Seger wasn't a radio hit, to me the lyrics to the song are some of the deepest lyrics he ever wrote. "Somewhere Tonight" is a slower song and Bob's voice is just amazing on it.

My favorite from Bob Seger is a deep cut entitled "Rosalie", his tribute to the great Canadian radio programmer Rosalie Trombley. Among the bands Rosalie broke to her audiences were Aerosmith, Alice Cooper, and yes, Bob Seger too. It's a great song and has been covered by Thin Lizzy as well, but Bob's version is the best.

Take care of you and your boys first. Exactly what I've been doing with my son. Sometimes in life a relationship can be nothing but bad. Being a single father for most his life, time after time, the women started to come between me and my child in some way - malicious or not - they just did. Today my son and I are as close as I could possibly ask for. I'd love to shrink him back down 10 years or so and do it all over again, but since I can't, I'm so happy I "sacrificed" something so I could stay as focused as possible on being a part-time father who's trying to fulfill a full-time job of raising a man with character and compassion, strength and wisdom, and so many other things. I don't regret, or feel I missed one single thing. Best wishes, Michael!!
