- Hey guys! So in our latest PABORITO episode a lot of you said there are more things to try in Pampanga--the Exotic Kapampangan food.

The frog that Jessica eats is only seen in farms . It is very different with other frogs. So it is clean and all organic. so proud of you Jessica. I am kapampangan, but I don’t eat crickets and frogs. No one in our family does. We don’t even eat balut. We know so many who don’t eat them. There are so many delicious kapampangan dishes out there. So many,that it’s so difficult to tell which one is the favorite. I am very proud of my heritage, very proud to be a kapampangan and honestly, I’ve never heard of that saying that “ you are not a real kapampangan if you don’t eat frogs”.
We need to see you eat more exotic Filipino food 💗

I think Jessica's old vlogs are more sincere and genuine. These new vlogs are just a product of her content creators/controllers/producers/researchers or whatever you may call them. These people are directing her what to do😢. These are not her at all. It all feels artificial and scripted.
The frog usually eaten by those who are in farms.. only frogs in ricefield. Palakang Bukid. And my grandma cook it as adobong palaka with a little spice in it. 🫶
And by the way ate Jessica! The frog you just ate are not they same frogs you have seen around Streets! It can only get from rice fields and also from rivers! They don't roam around Streets like that,they stayed on a mostly on damp wet places!
Hi jessica, i want to recommend a kapampangan restaurant located in guagua pampanga its called "APAG MARANGLE" theres a lot of pilipino food there that cooked as kapampangan style. Im in korea now for 11years and we used to go there everytime i go home for vacation. Try also the "buro" its a kind of sawsawan in pampanga for grilled fish and boiled vegetables.
No need to worry its a good food, pampanga is one of the best places when it comes to cooking, their food are really great..and some filipino are proud to eat this foods..coz it was good👍❤️🇵🇭😃💛💚
We Ilokanos call that insect ararawan in the North. For me, it's the most flavorful insect when it comes to taste. It has that natural umami and that nutty flavor as you said. Another exotic food that's kind of similar when it comes to the taste and flavor is Dog meat. It has the most umami, intense natural distinct meaty taste for me compare to chicken, goat, Buffalo, lamb, bison, sheep etc.. If you're interested to try it, don't vlog it, keep it to yourself as Dog meat has been illegal a while in the PH but you know how some Filipinos are, stubborn. They gotta have that good "exotic" pulutan every once in a while 🤦♂️
That Cricket we call that ararawan in ilocano. I grew up eating ararawan and tukak (frog). I’m salivating now, haven’t had the ararawan in like 30+ years. I sometimes eat frogs legs from Asean Buffet. Kudos to you for trying.
It would be best if you headed next to Laguna, wherein you can find a lot more flavors like Buko Pie and Mernel's Cakes (Los Baños), Kinulob na Itik (Victoria), Kesong Puti (Sta-Cruz), Turkish Delights (Nagcarlan), Espasol, Ube Halaya, Bibingka and Sisig Mushroom (San Pablo), and many more.
Maliit pa aqo nanjan na yang every body's cafe, along del Pilar, city of San Fernando, Pampanga..ngayon 52 na aqo, still matatag pa din Ang restaurant na Yan..

Morcon is an uncommon European food, it has different names in each region yet it is the usual "stuffed meat" or even pot-roast dishes. As my family's tradition, it is one of the holiday or occasional-party food; if not that it's relyeno which is stuffed fish.
I will never eat exotic food no matter how it taste or what country it is from...
Dinuguan is exotic enough for me...Dinuguan is delicious with rice....Mmmm. Yummylicious.

I don't actually know the story behind the balut that's why I don't wanna try it. Lizards. Huge lizards that live in or near the farm. I've tried those when I was young. My uncle caught it instead of doves and he cooked it adobo style. They say it's ok if it lived near the farm where it ate the produce. It tasted like adobo chicken and backboney. That's probably the only exotic food I tried upon writing this.

We call it ararawan in Pangasinan. I think it is not cricket. A cricket is colored green
we also have the bigger version of the pupa in Korea.... try eating UOK.... its bigger and served alive ....eaten alive .. yeah ... i haven't tried it yet coz i never had the chance to go to that province... maybe in the future.... try also Sasing and Etag....
I remember having adobong cricket sa Kabalen in Manila many years ago. Frog legs taste like chicken. It's great that you're also exploring exotic foods as part of your paborito series.

Not true, in my Kapampngan family, the only one who ate kamaru-cricket was my late lola.
In other provinces, RATS are part of their exotic dishes. Don't know if in Pamapanga they have Adobong Daga (rats).
