I recently started making my dog's food. We have three various breeds including a Chi Chi. Because my little Chi came to us with severe dental issues and he is missing several teeth, I blend/puree the homemade food into more of a pate texture so it's easier for him to eat. I am a huge supporter of making your dog's food because my vet shared that they are seeing more cases of cancer and heart issues in dogs over the past several years and they attribute this to the over the counter foods that are coming from other countries. And since there is no regulation in the US for pet food, some of the ingredients are causing or contributing to these health problems. All my dogs really love the homemade food and none turn their nose up to it.

Do NOT give corn to a Chihuahua. The meat pieces are to large also. If the ingredients were all cooked as shown when blended why bake them. Take the corn out and through it all in a food processor. You also need to add oil such as olive or fish oil or your dog will develop skin issues.

I currently now have a rescue chihuahua, a toy poodle rescued from a back yard breeder and a poodle terrier mix. They will love this recipe.
I’m sorry your dog was misdiagnosed. Heart breaking. I have a 2.5 pound chiweenie who only needed an antibiotic one time. Other than that she has never needed a vet and I am very glad. She’s a healthy old dog. I’m not sold on veterinary care because it’s too much preventative care, meaning shots and heart worm meds. And I never had a dog with any illnesses that vaccines prevent, with exception to a dog I fostered for 3 years. No vet could successfully cure her awful skin and ear issues. I surrendered her to a loving lady veterinarian because she will need meds for life, probably because of all the vaccines she’s had and the side effects they cause. It was a sad ordeal and all my efforts kept her comfortable for 8 weeks only. Then all the itching and ear problems returned.
Try to get as many different colored veg as possible (not all at once) like yellow peppers and squash, beets, red cabbage, carrots, celery, all sorts. of greens like broccoli, dandelion greens.Erbs are also good like basil, oregano, cilantro, parsley.Canned sardines and salmon occasionally are a must.Cook with cocanut oil try adding some chi seeds sunflower seeds and raw egg yolk.

I do not agree with your recipe being healthy and nutritional by any means. The corn is not healthy as it holds not nutritional value to dogs. Corn doesn't digest well either. Corn in... Corn out.
You should grind the egg shells, after baking them for a few minutes, in a coffee grinder! Also, use minced chicken if you are cooking for a Chihuahua! Their mouths are extremely small.
Brooke Wilson please I’m beginning you dont ask for advice from this utube she doesn’t know anything about chin babies let alone any dog meals and nutrition ground turkey is very good for dogs of any size or breed
Turkey is horrible for ALL canine breeds. Too much fat for a dog; especially a chi. It will lead to pancreatitis. Never feed a dog the skin, nor the bones. Google for various thoughts and great articles. If you decide to feed your dog turkey meat...do it as a treat; not an everyday meal source.
Mine wont eat anything except cooked chicken and of course biscuits that have all their vitamins in them, they like some tuna aswell mine are never poorly, they hate vegetables and fruit.
What do you do for a dog that eats grain free food? I have a chihuahua who has had heart disease for a while and now I’m strongly suspecting the grain free dog food being the culprit. I don’t trust processed dog food at all. I don’t think I can give mine rice and corn though. What can I use instead?
I actually just saw that white rice is good for their stomach. yah corn is bad. I have 2 restless seniors & wow human food no appetite. I also heard they love watermelon
Never feed shells like this. Look it up but you bake the shells to kill any possible bacteria and grind it to a powder. The powder is supposed to be good even for humans.
She has no idea about dog nutrition she cooked the meat and eggs twice. There is no nutrition left in the food dogs cant digest corn and rice is just a cheep food filler a proper diet is 80%meat 10%orgens 10%bone. Eggs 2 or 3 times a week fress fruits and veggies in small amounts
@@kingperogieandcharlie7385 what do you do if you have a dog with no teeth therefore unable to eat raw bones or raw meat for that matter? My little rescue dog came to me with not one tooth in his sweet little head but I want to switch to homemade dog food and junk the commercial dog foods.
You shouldn’t give any dog corn. And before you disagree do your research. And lentils as well. I see so many recipes for lentils and that causes heart issues.
I think that dog just died. Poor Pup. And also this is the DUMBEST recipe I've ever seen. DO NOT give this to your dog this is LITERALLY HUMAN food, that could kill your dog in just hours. If you accidentally gave this to your dog PLEASE take him\her to the Vet or even the Dog hospital.

I have an overweight chihuahua. The vet sold me a $30 Hills r/d. My chi won't go near it. I smell it, it's smells disgusting. I need a homemade weight loss dog food recipe. From these reviews I'm guessing it's not this girl's. Can anyone help me????
The SD weight loss formula really works. Give it a try, w/ an exercise regime. Add bone broth and wild salmon oil. Leave it out until she eats it. Being overweight can cause pancreatitis...very painful and deadly for a tiny chi. xoxo
Eggs are not good for Chihuahuas. It upsets their stomachs. Because they are such high energy dogs, they eat several small meals a day. They need the calories. My Chi hates peas and will pick them out. Also Chihuahuas need their meat cut very small.
@@SinfulKitty hi. Maybe your dog has a better experience with eggs than the Chi pets I know. That is a good thing for you and your dog. Since this has been a year since i posted this reply, i will tell you that my dog will eat peas now. I am glad you have had a better experience with your pet.
please don't feed this to you Chihuahua! Egg shells need to be grind down into powder otherwise it will get caught in their throats. This food is made for dogs with big teeth...and No corn....how can anyone say this food is great for Chihuahuas when food is fed to a Beagle. No 2 dogs are the same. Also why boil the chicken and then bake it? The meat will be so dry & rubbery. I have a 10 year old mix ChiPin, 7lbs, I feed fresh organic veggies, Whole Foods organic turkey breast with some dark meat (other stores used Rosemary as a preservative) ...the only meat she is not allergic too. Sweet potatoes, celery, zucchini, broccoli all in an Instant Pot- stew like...she gets all her nutrients from the food I feed her...added Dr Mercola Digestive Enzymes. She is active & happy. I've fed her homecooked meals for 10 years and tried to feed her processed dog food (lazy man's diet) and she always had allergic reactions to the preservatives used. Best part her poop don't stink! Her breath doesn't smell. And she rarely has digestion issues.

Brooke, consider chia seeds, salmon, eggs with finely ground shells, sardibes, sweet potatoes and lean beef. Organic, hormone free chicken is fine.
Beef elk venison bison cariboo pigs bear goat kangaroo rats brushtail possum beaver racoon squrial quail chicken turkey duck emu pheasant goose sardines salmon mackerel smelt eal trout cod flounder catfish skipjack tuna minnows mussels oysters scallops. To name a few.
If you cook for your dog don't forget the calcium and organ meat and glands also. your way better under cooking than over cooking.
My chiwawa is suffering through polo he is at a vet I’m scared he will die do you think he will live he is 4 months old
I lost my chi two weeks ago! Next time he or she will only have home cooked foods along with supplements.

Thanks
I feed my chihuahua Coronas and tacos 🌮
A bit surprised that this lady is feeding corn and brown rice (among other things done wrong) which is a no no for dogs!!!!
Mine wont eat anything except cooked chicken and of course biscuits that have all their vitamins in them, they like some tuna aswell mine are never poorly, they hate vegetables and fruit.
Try giving them sardines/ packed in water.
My question is you didn’t say whether or not we should cover it before we put it in the oven.
how do i print this
Do you put salt on the chicken?
No
Is can corn kernals ok??
No don’t feed them corn
What do you do for a dog that eats grain free food? I have a chihuahua who has had heart disease for a while and now I’m strongly suspecting the grain free dog food being the culprit. I don’t trust processed dog food at all. I don’t think I can give mine rice and corn though. What can I use instead?
Raw diet look into it n research
I actually just saw that white rice is good for their stomach. yah corn is bad. I have 2 restless seniors & wow human food no appetite. I also heard they love watermelon
Bradley Bruvva Do not feed dog grain free diet will definitely give them heart failure.
what's a good healthy diet for a Chihuahua and if I was eating the food of me really gross if I was a dog
When it comes to nutrition my vet is absolutely ignorant.
Won’t the shells choke them? I never understood this??? Please explain🙏🏽
Never feed shells like this. Look it up but you bake the shells to kill any possible bacteria and grind it to a powder. The powder is supposed to be good even for humans.
Why did you bake it after you already cook all of it ? Didn’t it kills all the good vitamins and nutrition and protein ?
I wish I had read the comments first... unimpressed.
Where did you get this recipe from?
@@dancingdelilah1882 bone meal would be good then
Why is the dogs food better than what i eat?😫😖😖
Thank You for the info.
Please don't do it, this person is completely wrong and it might kill your chi:(
Isn’t corn bad for dogs???
Thank you for this recipe. Btw 10lbs Chihuahua should eat only the carrots!
You need to have omega, flax and blue berries
Where is the organ meat and the omega 3?
You don’t even have a chihuahua?
Girl pls do your reading before share your knowledge.
I wanna feed my pup mostly grilled chicken and turkey
That recipe killed the chihuahua! Thats why she had Molly do the taste test.
I'm convinced that was Chihuahua not Chicken 🧐🤦♀️
@@Mb513Cinci Oh come on guys! So rude!
Why would you do this
I want some!!! ☺️☺️☺️
You shouldn’t give any dog corn. And before you disagree do your research. And lentils as well. I see so many recipes for lentils and that causes heart issues.
Chihuahua’s don’t have floppy ears.
Please take this down, you are endangering dogs. Also that ISNT EVEN A CHIHUAHUA!
Nope my bay wouldn't eat that...
Lmao come to find out, she isn’t even feeding a chihuahua. I hope she knows her dog breeds because in the very beginning of the video she’s talking a lot of about Chihuahuas but yet she feeds a larger dog.
How long can u keep it in refrigerator?
Please don’t use this recipe, it will hurt your dog
My dog is gone : (
I have an overweight chihuahua.
Being overweight can cause pancreatitis...very painful and deadly for a tiny chi. xoxo
@@expressivepets1 Forgive me but it's been so long since I posted that I can't remember what the SD weight loss formula is?
chihuhuas are all supposed to be under 6 pounds. why would you have a guide saying 10 pounds?
chihuahua doesn't digest sweet corn!!!
I would not feed corn or rice to my dogs!
Dont you have common sense
Take this video down my love. This is no good
Another video I saw said do not feed your dogs corn…bad for them! Otherwise good video but I’d make the chicken much smaller for a small dog
This video is well intentioned but google is free.
Thank you !!!!!!!!
My dog allergic to chicken
貴方応援頑張っ✌。素敵です゜癒され動画最高です!!🐶💕
Royal Canin for Chihuahua for lazy fur parents 😀
My dog has hardy any theeth I will try this ty
Please don’t you will hurt your dog
Egg is not good
Eggs are not good for Chihuahuas. It upsets their stomachs. Because they are such high energy dogs, they eat several small meals a day. They need the calories. My Chi hates peas and will pick them out. Also Chihuahuas need their meat cut very small.
not true.
@@SinfulKitty hi. Maybe your dog has a better experience with eggs than the Chi pets I know. That is a good thing for you and your dog. Since this has been a year since i posted this reply, i will tell you that my dog will eat peas now. I am glad you have had a better experience with your pet.
My chi eats chicken duck and quail eggs.
@@nibunion Wow. I am super amazed.
@@janetedens two three times a week.
please don't feed this to you Chihuahua!
But Corn is bad for them right? Hello corn is bad for the doggies. This is not a good thing
Do U have anything w/ watermelon?
I tip of advice: chew the rice yourself as well as the meat and mix it(recommend for puppies) if you chew yourself it'll be better coz the puppie will know u better
Hope you don't think that your dog is a Chihuahua.
