Yes, mom was so offended by TV and especially of women's portrayal on TV, that she decided to stick her daughter right in the middle of it. ::rolls eyes::
She was pretty specific about her mother objecting to a certain type of television, the 1970s “jiggle” television and the narrow depictions of women. Her mother didn’t stick her right in the middle of THAT kind of television. Also her mother wouldn’t be the first or the last parent to support their kid going into the business with worries and mixed feelings about it. I’m not sure why that’s so eyerolling.
