That was the best documentary I’ve ever seen. Thank you so much for the privilege of seeing how the best koi are bred and cared for. Seeing the Hiroshima Park was just beautiful. So was the beautiful bushes and flowers around the koi ponds. It makes me want to travel to Japan. Thank you again.

Got some koi and goldfish June 2018 for my unnatural, natural pond and found 3 babies this August 2019! Two Chagoi and one Sanke. I have a female Sanke, and a male Chagoi, a lemon and white male, a blue butterfly koi without scales and six comets and one shubunkin. I just added a platinum ogon butterfly and an orangish red regular koi, and a lighter orange butterfly koi this July 2019. Will see what happens this spring. Sorry I am new to owning koi and don't know my koi types well. I never tried to breed, it was a pleasant surprise! Loved your video, made me realize how special my koi babies are.

Beautiful stuff. Koi have always held a beautiful mystique and awe for me.
With goldfish, by the way, the deciding factor on how much of the gene-possible black comes out is the sunlight their first several weeks. It might be the same with the Koi.

This will teach you how to raise the fish. Those people in Sante Fe will pay big bucks to have Koi in their ponds.
Winter might be a problem, but not yours because you will have sold all yours before winter. Then you just start over next spring.

@15.20 he talks about KHV, the easiest way to contract KHV is to introduce a contaminate fish into your pond, this in why you should quarantine ALL of your fish! its a killer, it has a 90% mortality rate. as for KHV it is in Japan and some of the readers do have it.
