    Thanks so much for this build! I was able to have fun with the game again! I really didn't like the whole living weapon + a ton of buffs and pray thing. Damage is pretty decent too considering the tankiness! I managed all Way of the Nioh DLC missions with this! It's amazing to not have to worry about projectiles and elemental damage. I didn't even have 100% reduction and it was still doable! Again many thanks!

    This is definitely what i'm working towards. Never liked LW even before the Abyss. And it's also more enjoyable when both you AND the enemy won't get oneshotted.

    This is so awesome man I'm going to try this! I've really been enjoying the higher difficulties in Nioh aside from the nonexistent margin for error. I think it's kind of unreasonable to expect perfection of the player moving forward when enemies hit so hard. The real meat of the game is in the melee combat so it feels counterintuitive to remove a lot of the incentive when you can die so easily. I personally got very bored of stacking a ton of buffs and debuffs on enemies and bosses in order to tear them apart. Being able to actually survive and learn the game more deeply is so rad man.

      I agree. I'm currently running with a dual sword Sign of the Cross build so I can just erase human enemies with constant knock downs and just have to focus on learning yokai boss movesets, but even then the game becomes pretty damn stale when all you do is circle for a back attack and spam SotC.

    Thanks for showing this actually working in the abyss. I'm going to try it. I'm running 4 master swordsman, 4 tat, 4 izinaga, no lw, currently in the abyss high 400's. I do excellent damage and have no issues progressing, but I'm tired of spamming SOTC, flowing shadow and IAI quickdraw all the time.

    This build gave new hope. 🙂 I'm defeating everybody without the Living Weapon or debuffs.
    I know it's been too long, and you probably not playing it anymore, but which do you think is better on my tonfa "Close combat attack (enemy muddied) +15%" or "Familiarity damage bonus A+" ?

      Fam dam is better! I'm glad to hear it's fun!

    Omg it is the build that i have , only i need one more oyamatatsumi long range weapon to complete that!! I also use odachi and kusa for ability to increase attack and weaken melee weapon to gain more defense from bosses

    i think i might try this. getting pretty tired of dying in one hit. Well, Honda largely prevents that, but only at full life, and that's not something I can always have.
    The muddied boost sounds cool too. I also didn't know hammers had that ki damage boost. I'll be looking for a good hammer now.

    So I'm playing through the game for the first time. I'm currently on the third main mission in the first region. Since you say you can't "complete" this build until NG+++, what should I use in the meantime? Just whatever has the highest defensive multiplier? Still new to this game and figuring out how everything works, so every little bit helps. Thank you!

    • @bonhomme2867
      @bonhomme2867  4 года назад +2

      Hey, welcome to Nioh! The equipment you use doesn't matter very much in the first difficulty, so yeah just whatever has higher defense or perks you like! And defense isn't as important early on, you shouldn't get one-shot even with light armor unless you go on to NG++ cycles. Equipment Sets are powerful, but there are a lot of good choices, you can use whatever you like the look of. I think Red Demon and warrior of the west are popular choices for high damage, but not necessary at all if you don't want to worry about it.
      The ninjutsu and onmyo spells are also really powerful if you get stuck at some point (but I prefer not to rely on those too much, I try to just learn combat better)

    You are a very very good player by the way. Interesting build, but how do you kill last 2 bosses? 999 floor, or any hard double-boss floor? for example, 380 390...

  • @jorgeluizjr.0
    @jorgeluizjr.0 3 года назад

    Hey, do you remember on what floor you can get that bow with unlimited arrow?
    Is it possible to forge it? I've tried a lot and nothing!

    • @bonhomme2867
      @bonhomme2867  3 года назад +1

      Can't forge it, it drops in the abyss on ethereal bows, the easiest way I think is to farm floors with marume nagayoshi as a sub boss, he ways drops a bow

    also,i see you use all weapons...do you adapt the weapons to your stats or use a book? if you adapt the weapons i'd love to see how.Thanks

    • @bonhomme2867
      @bonhomme2867  5 лет назад +2

      I don't use a book. With my stats (200 in body, strength, and skill), all the weapons' attack ratings are good. I think sword and kusarigama are the weakest with those stats, but still not bad as you can see in the video!
      I do put change to attack A on all my weapons, either body, strength, or skill -- it doesn't matter which since all three are at 200. Cheers

      @@bonhomme2867 just to let you know i have finished the build and im enjoying it a lot...survival is so easy,dont do a crazy damage but good enough to beat bosses in a fair fight within 3-5 min.Thanks and good job

    This looks very nice :) I don't know much about Nioh 1 (I just came back to it) and was looking for a build to aim for.. But why 200 skill? I was thinking 200 stamina would be better? Especially because of Todo clan.. Please tell me if I'm wrong..

    • @bonhomme2867
      @bonhomme2867  4 года назад

      200 stamina would be better with Todo clan, but 200 skill gives you better weapon damage since many of the weapons scale with skill. That's why I made that decision. If you're only using the axe and odachi, which scale with stamina, then 200 stamina and low skill is the best of both worlds.

    • @AnnaOliviayy
      @AnnaOliviayy 4 года назад

      @@bonhomme2867 Okay nice, thank you for your answer^^ I think I'll just go with 200 stamina and use Odachi then:)

    hi,nice build...can i ask what are your effects on the tonfas? thanks

    • @bonhomme2867
      @bonhomme2867  5 лет назад +2

      Hi Luis, thanks for the comment. On the tonfa I have tonfa gun (rare drop in the abyss!), and I used an ethereal grace inheritance weapon to soul match into Oyamatsumi. Then I have change to attack Body A, close combat damage 20%, familiarity damage bonus A, weaken armor torso, and Earth damage.

  • @messaoudboudraa6387

    Tanky yes flashy definitely but dude you're lacking damage nice work though.
    I've gotten used to agility A and not coming back but the tatenashi set is really useful.

    • @bonhomme2867
      @bonhomme2867  4 года назад +7

      I agree Agility A is slightly more fun, until you just can't stand getting one-shot anymore. But in Nioh 2 so far yeah I'm also always agility A. And yeah, there are way higher damage builds out there for blasting through to floor 999, but that's just not the purpose of this build -- trying to do as many floors as possible is not fun to me at all, I prefer just getting on and having fun fights. This can still kill annoying bosses plenty fast -- check out the Onmoraki video on my channel -- but yeah it's not for everyone!
