I'm like serious bro? It makes complete sense and yeah it's going to piss the Russians off I might even try to sway their hand in such to get as close as possible to launching a nuclear weapon of some sort but we're damned if we do we damned if we don't at this point do we want to have another conflict in the future do we want to risk dealing would someone like Putin who's completely near unnegotiable who's a narcissist who is somebody who doesn't care how many lives he throws away all the name of serving his position his values his views his goals... Sad as it is one day this was going to happen many people wished it didn't but it has happened and we are forced to deal with Russia on a year in pre-in front as we have been preparing for for a very long time and now that possibility is so close to being brought to fruition... And despite our closing in around Russia as he might have a point the fact is weed and strike first he did and with false pretenses he did... And at the end of the day it was his forces that were pushed in Ukraine it was his forces that have caused many atrocities there it was his forces that he sent there to die knowing full well but these young men were going to go there and possibly not have the support they needed what not and left them to die regardless and expect them to do their duty as soldiers completely under misinformation and the unknown so not only is he causing atrocities towards the Ukrainian people but also to his own military in his own people... The man's a monster the people are too brainwashed to realize that then I don't know what to say I hope somebody in that country actually has a brain that hope somehow organizes despite everything that is impossible in Russia to do

Exactly, and this is why both Germany and Russia were evil dictatorships. Even though Russia defeated Hitler they were just as bad. Communists don't realize this and see Russia as liberators but they were not since they enslaved the whole east of Europe.
They real liberators were the USA and it's allies since they wanted to stop Germany without taking terretority like Stalin did.

    Other Russian “logic”:
    - Bombing cities to rubble is not a war, and illegal to even say, but economic sanctions are an act of war
    - Conscripts are not being sent to Ukraine, despite their dead bodies ending up there
    - Russia was forced to defend itself from Russian genocide orUkrainian troops who were coming to invade them and/or went as a noble mission to remove Nazis and help the people, while standing up to NATO and West, and all reasons are going exactly to plan despite Russia withdrawing from much of the country, including the Capital
    - All of many bombs and undisciplined soldiers never hurt a child or civilian, but if there evidence of it…it is both fake photos, but if real a dummy, and/or that the Ukrainians tied up/shot or exploded themselves, despite our many bombs and bullets going by
    - America is not a “real” democracy, like in Russia where Putin was just elected President the 37th time
    - Russia has committed no crimes, but if it did International law has no consequences against Russia/we intend to sue over companies leaving and other sanctions
    - A good way to keep border countries out of NATO is to brutally invade and destroy border countries not part of NATO
(Stolen from a longer list by someone else)

The idea is to keep it from getting to nukes, while not allowing Ukraine to be reabsorbed by Russia. That's a longer, patient game. The Ukrainian's apparently taking out the Moskva means that it will be nearly impossible for the Russians to support the coastwise advance against Odessa. Any movement of ships to supply by sea is three times as dangerous as before. And all the remaining Russian naval units are Corvette and Frigate size at best. That class of ship has less capability to defend themselves against cruise missiles than Slava did.

    Moldova maybe.
    Bosnia unlikely because of Serbia.
Switzerland and Austria will keep themselves neutral.

My father served on the Arctic convoys ferrying American and British made weapons to Murmansk and Archangel across the North Atlantic in sub-zero temperatures and mountainous seas, to help the Russians fight Nazi aggression. Without Allied help during world war 2 the Russians would all be speaking German and saluting Heil Hitler, something Putin conveniently chooses to forget.

Really? Do you know what the Nazis would've done to the Ukrainians? im sure ur father is proud of u calling his service a mistake, saving millions of lives and helping to end the most wicked war ever waged.

The downside of that help to Russians , was that it took almost 50 years to kick them out of central Europe after they forgot to pull out by them selves.

@@giantsashavor7809 I guess you misinterpreted his comment. To me it doesn't look as if he said it shouldn't have been done but rather that putin, in claiming russia to have defeated Germany in 1940-45 sort of single-handedly, just chooses to "omit" the sh*tload of material brought to his motherland by the allies to make the victory possible in the first place.
Well, maybe he'll notice once the modern version of the arctic convois did their job in the Ukraine.

@@qwertzundefinedapfel3830 i dont think thats what he meant, but what you said is right. in my opinion i think its evident USSR couldve eventually pushed germany out, but without allied help, it wouldve taken longer, and they would have had to stop at their own border; lacking the logistics or resources to actually advance on germany. it wouldnt have been possible for germany to take over the ussr no matter what, because they wouldve just kept stretching their forces and supplies out, having no town or city to restock in because of the scorched earth policy. this issue was already crippling them badly, let alone if they kept doing it. lend lease revealed the ussr's full potential and it launcedh a counter offensive against germany that steamrolled all the way to berlin. i think thats a fair assessment. without it, it probably wouldve been an extra 5-10 million lives. still better than 150-200 million+
