From East Harlem NYC and lived in Florida for 3 years. But there's something very special about Arizona. Peace and love...

You are so right to me! I wanted so much to move there from Tennessee. East Harlem was once my home in the 60's. Florida was once my home in the 90's. P'cola! With all this mess we're in now, not sure I'd get to AZ! Blah!!

I did not know the population is about 30,000 people who resides in Gold Canyon Arizona in 2020. In 2010, only 10,000 people do live in Gold Canyon Arizona, and it is a bedroom community of Metro Phoenix Area. Yes it is unincorporated community, and it is not a incorporated city yet. No city hall, no mayor, and no city clerk, just a name a few about the community outside of Phoenix Arizona. It is building up between 2010 and 2020. Gold Canyon does have numerous shops, service stations, schools, and a golf course, but limited on sidewalks and LED street lights, but they use General Electric Model M-400A, High Pressure Sodium lights with cut off version, which run along US-60, and in the near future it will be replace with LED lights.

For what it's worth, I'd appreciate you doing a drive-by with a bit of narrative on the soon-to-be-finished Ritz-Carlton Hotel (and its residences) in Paradise Valley. Thanks for your consideration.

compaing oro valley to gold canyon just based on the names alone is funny. Oro Valley "Gold Valley" and Gold Canyon, I'm noticing a trend

I thought Arizona would’ve been way cheaper states to move to. I am from New Jersey and homes are really expensive up here and so are taxes. Arizona seems just as expensive. And if there are not a lot of high-paying jobs out there I don’t see why the homes are costing so much. Are there no nice homes for around $100,000 out in Arizona?

Christian Curcio No....unless you want to live in a mobile home.....those days of &100k are long gone ..I hear from other people that live here...if you would have been here in the 1990s or even the 2000s from the fallout of economy you would have a better price.....I’m from N. CA moved here 2 years ago....and I bought a home in N. Peoria that’s 20 yrs old, that was $218k same home in CA would be worth $450-500k easily .......it’s a steal for me.

@@francesfarmer736 Jeff is right about the bug-out (far northeast) part of AZ. Land can still be had for $20K for 40 acres, although it's getting scarce and the insurance company wants you within five miles of a firehouse. Around the Prescott area, vacant land seems to go for $15K - $25K per acre, if you're lucky. Plus, you may even see an HOA on vacant acreage. Be careful---I was warned about HOAs before I got here.

There are homes in the low $100,000 in San Tan Valley about 35 miles east of Phoenix along the Ironwood Hwy. However you will find better more modern homes in Southern San Tan Valley and Queen Creek between $250,000 to $400,000. I bought a home in Queen Creek for $275,000 six years ago and now it's worth around $355,000 and love it here in Arizona. Most of the higher paying jobs are found in Phoenix as well. I'm retired so it all works out for me. Just like everywhere in the United States real-estate is going up in cost.
