I had a friend who struggled with her skin for many years, often relying on a 2-liter bottle of soda every day. It was tough to see her dealing with those skin issues while continuing to drink soda. One day, I gently suggested that she consider cutting it out of her diet. Thankfully, she took that advice to heart and gradually reduced her soda intake. I’m so proud of her - it’s been five years since she gave it up, and her skin has dramatically improved. It’s inspiring to see how positive changes can lead to such wonderful results.
You guys should check out Dr Karan's video on skincare. He goes a bit more into the science behind it but he does recommend pretty much the same basic routine.
I just want to say I just came across your account maybe 3/4 days ago and I love the content you make and what you talk about. Any recommendations for more content creators similar to you? Anyone can recommend me people I just want more to watch because I’ve already watched most everything you’ve put out the last few mintha
Maybe Tristan Trask, actually Tristan recommended Wanhee's channel in one of his videos, got inspired by the minimalism and all that. From there I found Wanhee.
I just never knew I had to take care of my skin. No-one thought me, I've never studied it in school. But now in my early 20's I tried skincare and actually I don't have skin problems I used to do.
I have been to South Korea like 12 times. I can reassure people that “Koreans have great skin” is a myth. There are as many people in Korea with bad skin as the ones with good skin. Many of them are obese too despite “good” Korean diet. Just like other countries. South Korea does have advance skincare products tho, and they are so cheap/affordable!
Lets not forget many Koreans both men and women wear makeup. They also have a better diet than a lot of Westerners. Such as more balanced meals with a lot of vegetables and of course Kimchi (which is gut friendly).
@@heythere1358 The answer to this question and the science behind youthful Asians, is that they have thicker collagen than other races which breaks down at a slower pace as they age.
Men, I've been to S Korea sorry but i didn't see many people with great skin. Alot of acne, the pollution it was so bad. Probably is the stress and pollution
This is a level of vanity I’m unwilling to commit to. Much prefer your stated approach of keeping it simple. Eat clean, drink lots of water, exercise and sleep well.
Koreans are 15 years ahead in the skincare industry. Most of them have glowing skin due to their extensive 10 step skincare. You should try K-Beauty products.
Quitting sugar did it to me. Far cheaper than cosmetics, actually.
Sugar is very bad for my skin too (especially the industrial one), but it’s so hard to quit it 😭
Milky and greasy products are often bad too.

This is so true. This is the big one. Cut out processed sugars and watch your skin and life be 10x better
Not eating any dairy products is what did it for me!

So you just went through your teenage years with skin problems and thought it was normal 😂
@geffro1754 no, I went through my whole life thinking that it was normal. Lol 🤣 But to be honest I had bigger problems than skincare.

True, people just have the perception that all Koreans are great skin due to k dramas and kpop

Most Koreans have good or decent skin and most are not obese.

Reality: Make-Up is used by both men and women in korea
Most men don’t wear makeup. Koreans tend to have good skin.
I think hiding from the sun is one of the reasons of depression in South Korea that you have mentioned before :)
About time you people stop gatekeeping
No one is gatekeeping.
No dairy and no soft drinks my skin got better. Also, daily exercise

That's why I like girls with less stuff on their faces, cause I want to know how my woman really look like god damn it.

Uhmm main secrets are photoshop and filters. Nobody associates Asians with good skin, quite the opposite.

Speak for yourself lol this is actually widely known that Koreans are leagues ahead of the world on this.
