I had my ADV cloned, it's more common than you think. I got a fine through from Coventry council at 5.45am . First thing I did was phone the police 🚔. Who were great they came round with an identifying marker for my bike so they could know if it's the real one or not. Also gave me a letter to send to the fine people who cancelled the fine. I had a similar thing, I got a parking ticket for Wigan. This is unusual because I’ve never been there. On the photo evidence I now own a GTI, not a Ducati. Turns out the cock womble traffic warden wrote out the wrong number on the form, which is a little like mine, if you a e not familiar with English and haven’t been to spec savers. I got a big sigh of breath from the Wigan council lady, like it’s a common occurrence and was told to bin the fine and it would be struck out.
Its the fact that even after you report it the onus is still on you to keep flagging it to the powers that be. The handwritten letter and a 6 week turn around in this day and age is just a joke.
in before someone comments "that's why I hide my numberplate on YT etc" . I had this with one of our lorries at work, FPN for speeding in Wales, with a tracker and some photos I could prove we were never there. What a nightmare mate.

Also I was wondering if you ever considered a larger windshield. I bought a Madstad adjustable windshield for my 2024 NC750x DCT and love it. Keeps a ton of wind off me. Thanks I think yje cbr600r is more comfortable, I didn't ride the naked my 1st 2 days getting cramp due to legs tight, I'm looking to drop the footpeggs and a screen it's terrible with wind, but other than that brilliant, still doesn't beat the NC👍👍👍

If I were you I'd get another number. I know it'll cost you a bit but may be worth it to stop the hassle. Of course if you already have a personalised plate it would be a shame because of these scrotes.

Had it in Spain in a hire car. Live in uk. Got a Spanish fixed penalty 100E I was in uk by 8 hrs before offence. Had to employ a translator as have a home there and fines can build to horrifying amounts. 200 euros later i was let off, but reg plate was clearly cloned from photo of car. Pretty easy if stop and think. So drive by mile eh? Criminals paradise

It’s not just bikes, one of my friends had her rear car plate stolen and it was used for a petrol fill and drive off without paying, police arrived at her house to arrest her but luckily her car was completely different make and colour.
Happened to me. I.m in chorley. Got speeding fine in Kent. No access in hounslow. Then after a year two parking fines in hounslow. It was a nightmare like yours. My bike never been on you tube. Reckon they got mine off dealer pics. They said it was on police computer so would get pulled if seen. Well after a year and I got the parking fines I gave up and changed the reg. How it can go a year an not get pulled says a lot about the system.

personally its a load of faff to sort this all out and I can't see why the owner of the original plate has to jump through hoops and red tape for very little effect and bureaucracy persecutes and exacerbates the situation, I think I would just reply to the issuer of the fine reporting that its not me and let them take me to court when proven innocent claim for expenses, costs and wrongful prosecution
You wont get anything like that the councils are as big a crimenal as the criminals, I'll just have to keep fighting, and will be a case extra work in editing number plates👍👍👍

Hi Blakes becoming more common, but the real scrotes sell the stolen bike to a idiot who doesn't doo propper checks because they think they got the cheapest bike in the UK🤔🤔🤔😅
Not related but in the start of this year, after fueling up at a gas station more than 1k € was withdrawn from my card, I fell victim of a card skimmer used at the fuel pump which is used to clone your card and then the criminals are able to use it. The criminals have to go back to remove the skimmer and ofcourse I went to the police station, filed a report. And I know the gas station has a camera. I told them, check the video and u will see (unless they covered their face which is possible ofc) who was behind it. But no, they arent allowed to do that because privacy reasons and it could take years to obtain clearance to do so. So long story short, I was told to suck it up and forget about ever getting my money back, let alone that they would investigate the crime. Under 10K they dont bother he hold me. Criminals can do whatever they want with no consequences.
just fight it in court you will win the fight because its not the same bike in the pic that was sent to you unless its some how the same bike etc but most of the time its not the same bike

Buy yourself a private plate, then the scroute will be stopped for no tax and insurance. He will then have his bike impounded. 😁👍
