The partner yarn goes together with the main yarn, like a set. But as I said you don't need it if you use another yarn

11-12 cm because the decreases part measures.about 7 cm. But it is better to measure right on the head

You can, but don't forget to check your gauge. I live in Canada so it is easy to order yarn from China if you still want to.. I am sure you can find it on Amazon but might be more expensive
