Nice vid. I don't use my wrist to spin the ball. use a semi western grip. loosen my hands. waist coil, uncoil the waist like a catapult and just swing from bottom to top. let the wipe action happen naturally. I acquired this technique only after 10 years of playing tennis recreationally. I never had elbow or wrist pain after that.

As part of the kinetic chain. ..isn't the wrist rotating and rolling (windshield wiper) the final part of the chain..the energy flows from ground up...through shoulder and forearm and then the loose wrist where it explodes out..like cracking a whip?....with racquet face slightly closed on contact....but if to roll ur wrist over the ball instead of the natural flow ..the follow through path will change and u will drag the ball down..going into the net..or short if it clears the net??

I like your videos, however I think it will be useful if you do show yourself hitting the balls also not just at the beginning.

Can you explain why not to use the wrist to add spin? It seems natural to me that if the shoulder is turning the racquet, then the shoulder plus the wrist will turn the racquet even more, adding more vertical movement to the racquet face and therefore more topspin. What is the downside that I am missing?

I like the way this video is delivered. But I seriously disagree with the bonus tip - sometimes you need to stay low throughout the execution of the shot and NOT straighten up onto your toes. Just my opinion.

Too much talking. Not enough demonstrating.
