  • 🇬🇧 At April 14th, 2024 I was visiting the first Classics & Coffee in 2024 in front of the Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart (Germany). Today's special theme were offroaders and commercial vehicles. This classic car show is happening on all Sundays during the warm weather season from around middle of April to middle of Octobre. I am not affiliated with the host of the event to produce this video - I am creating it all as my non-profit hobby.

That Lotus Cortina is a beauty.
Gorgeous Alfa Spider, I really like those lattice-style wheels.

The Lotus Cortina is really a beauty. Really in great condition.
The Alfa Spider is looking amazing in red. I also like this style of roadsters - no matter if Italian or British. The wheels look amazing on it. Such kind of wheels are also very popular for the VW Golf I+II. I also like this style very much.

@@BFDdrives There's a Lotus Cortina Mk I that's a regular at shows here and it is in similar condition. Yes, those classic roadsters are really wonderful.

It's a short one - that's what she said 🤣 I always liked the compact 3 series - and I bet it goes well with that engine. Love the DAF 66 - the coupe styling is really cool. Great collection all round Sven

Hahaha, glad you like that joke. I just couldn't resist since I'm usually saying "that's what she said" when I'm seeing a big car, haha. Back when they were all around I didn't like the 3-series compact. When they were new they were good sellers. But on the used car market they were heavy as lead - the BMW enthusiasts didn't accept them as real BMW 3ers. The next generation was selling even so awful as new one (probably because of their oddly looking design on the headlamps) so that they did replace it with the 1-series some years before the next generation of the 3-series appeared. The Mercedes C-class Sport Coupe on the other hand was a good seller here, at least the pre-facelift. The facelift with the W204 front was a great seller in France as a Mercedes-guy told me. The sport coupe was actually also on my list of interesting cars as a daily 20 y/o retro car. But they're currently over priced and the W203 series of the pre-facelift are rust buckets and the engines also are no more having the great timing chains like until the W202. But well, all cars have their pros and cons ... I bet there's also a long list of bad stuff on other cars, also on my "new" Jag - that I'm finally picking up on Saturday. I hope all the small stuff is also fixed when I'm picking it up.

@@BFDdrives It's interesting looking back and seeing how car design has changed and the 'fashions' that have come and gone. I wonder what people will think of the cars today in 30+ years?🤣Good luck with the Jag pick up 🤞Always something that hasn't been fixed as agreed - there was with Dizzy too - but hope I'm wrong and you have a clean run of it Sven

Like the Clio V6 always have.
The DAF remember them new. In the words of Forrest Gump and that's all i have to say about that.
Wonder if the Jag is variomatic it goes pretty quick backwards.

The Renault Clio V6 is super rare here. This one is the only one that I've ever got to see with my eyes. First time I was seeing it was in last year - also here at the Classics & Coffee. Never saw any Clio V6 before - except in car magazines.
Hehehe, I didn't full throttle with the Jag when driving backwards to know if they're also fast in reverse, hehehe. I doubt to try it, haha.
